“The term app smashing refers to the
process of using multiple apps in
conjunction with one another to
complete a final task or project.”

Procedures:
• Students will create a poster board (refer to page 119) promoting a
telethon.
• The poster board must include written information and illustrations.
• The written information must include at least three activities that will be
taking place during the telethon using the vocabulary for units 2.1 and 2.2, title of
the telethon, date and time of the telethon, a statement indicating the reason for
doing the telethon, contact information, and commands with direct and indirect
object pronouns.
• The poster board must also include at least three pictures that are relevant
to the title.
• Students will use I-pads to create the poster board.
• Students will have access to three apps (Pic Collage, ThingLink and
Audioboo) to complete the project.
• Audioboo will be used to record student’s voices.
• A rubric will be used to evaluate students.
