- Welcome to LEML Actions. This video explains the types of actions used in the learning environment modeling language or LEML.
- This video focuses on the action elements of the LEML framework.
- There are three standard actions in LEML: Learner Action – actions the learner takes in the learning environment Facilitator Action – actions the facilitator takes in the learning environment System Action – actions pre-programed or built into the learning environment
- In this example, the actions are used to show actions taken by various players in the learning environment. In this model, the learner assumes a good deal of leadership for their own learning as referenced by the learner action arrows. The facilitator provides feedback on the final presentation and conditional feedback is pre-programed into the environment to provide “client” feedback to the student based on their earned score on the presentation. This is automatically sent from the learning management system. Actions provide a method for designers to show the sequence, flow, and roles within a learning environment.
