IV. PT education – HQ, INDORE: January 2006 to October 2011
Designation : Senior S/w IT Executive (MS-SQL Database Developer)
PT education is an Educational Institution, which has Centers across India to provide Best
Education for MBA Entrance, MCA and English as well as for Abroad Studies.
PT education has an ERP solution with back-end of MS-SQL 2005 to manage Centre & Head
Quarters level working. Till April-2007, it was Desktop based solution & from May-2007
onwards it's Online Web environment solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Managing dedicated Web Servers, Online ERP Software & it’s all Centres Consolidate
MS-SQL 2005 Database & other MS-SQL Databases,
2. Writing SQL Store Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers to fulfill the Management
requirements & for Annual Strategic Meetings with Centres,
3. Optimizing existing SQL Objects to improve performance,
4. Automation of MS-SQL data requirements between different servers,
5. Support to Centers & HQ for this ERP solution,
 Project Experiences: -
I. PT education – HQ, INDORE -
1. Migration of PTPRABANDHAN ERP solution from DESKTOP to Online WEB
environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES DURING THIS PROJECT: -
i. Co-ordination between teammates & Software team to
understand various modules of Desktop based ERP & to prepare the detailed
documents of the requirements
ii. Testing of WEB ERP solution
iii. Support to Software Team in Database design
iv. Data migration from MS-SQL 2000 to 2005 (It's not only
IMPORT - EXPORT process through DTS as New DB has many changes in its
structure). In this migration PT education team strength was 2 - Mr. Animesh
Upadhyay (IT Head) & Me
2. Migration of Web ERP solution from one Web Server to another Web Server (Windows
2003 with IIS 6.0),
3. Managing Web Server independently etc.
4. With the help of MS-SQL, build the process to get Image and/or any format file from Web
Server to local system or vice versa without using FTP and/or without Enabling MS-SQL
XP_CMDSHELL etc.

II. Zee Learn Limited – HQ, Mumbai (Maharashtra) –
1. Production DBs log backups from Production to Backup server – Implemented
automated process of logs backup-restore from Production to Backup server,
2. Many new reports generated with Auto Mailing system to improve the MIS & help the
organization to take the right decisions on right time like "TAT reports for Indents",
"Fees Ageing reports", "Auto Responder mails to Enquiries", "Daily basis Zone wise
Enquiries mails to responsible persons" etc.,
3. Auto-Escalation process designed & implemented for Helpdesk module. So, if raised Issue
not responded at current level in given time duration, will automatically escalate to next level.
4. Single Sign On (SSO) – Zee Learn has more than 5 WEB Applications with separate logins.
To automate logins into Permitted applications through Intranet, implemented SSO process.
Complete working done through back-end with one extra login page designed by developers.
5. Inventory Management – To manage the Templates (set of Products) Inventory
without affecting current system, designed back-end logic to fulfill requirement. This
module working done by 3 members –
I. HOD & 1 Developer – HOD to understand the current system & Developer who
Designed UI to enter Templates Inward/Outward entries at Dispatch locations &
II. Me - Designed back-end logic to incorporate this process in daily dispatches
(Indenting) system.
6. City Master & all related tables City sync. & removal of Duplicate, Wrong entries –
City master is there since the MIS
development started, but, with lots of Duplicates & Wrong entries. Not to say that it is
not an easy task to organize Master tables which is in use since more than 2 years. To
achieve the same huge manual working is required. But, to minimize it, design some
SPs to Find & replace complete DB for specified Numeric and Character values.
