This risk assessment document was prepared by Briony Rolfe, Tasmin Fuhrmann, Luke Johnson and Brianna Broderick for their Media AS OCR G321 2013 course. It identifies potential hazards for their film project such as confined spaces, electricity, fire, hand tools, slips and trips, violence, weather, working environment, work organization, and work equipment. For each hazard identified, it describes who may be at risk and lists existing control systems to mitigate the risks.

Describe Hazard and Those at Risk
We will be filming in confined spaces and
at times all doors and windows may be
closed. Whole group is at risk.
Lights and plug sockets could electrocute
someone. Whole group at risk.
If there is a fire the whole group could be in
danger.
There are hand tools around our setting,
which could injure someone. Whole group
at risk.
There could be things on the floor that
someone could slip or trip on and could
hurt themselves. Whole group at risk.
Actors have to stimulate a murder and
therefore there is potential someone could
get hurt. Actors involved in that scene at
risk.
We don’t know what the weather is going
to be like, could be dangerous weather for
filming. Whole group at risk.
Lights and wires around the studio and
other places we filmed could lead to
danger. Whole group at risk.
Other groups’ using the studio when
filming could get in each other’s way by
mistake and cause an accident. Whole
group at risk.
Camera and lights around the studio can be
dangerous or cause accidents if used in the
wrong way. Whole group at risk.
