Description : Nielsen serves many clients globally from all sectors of
communications and new media markets. We do the Radio network performance test
in test markets in USA by conducting drive for VoLTE. This drive test uses Accuver
product XCAL-MO drive test tool. We replay the XCAL-MO log files those are collected in
field or we will simulate the different types of failures in the labs and analyse the radio
network performance to understand the call processing & catch hold of the different
issues associated with operators. We will track out the issues associated with network
or equipment issue with the carrier.
○ Acting as a Primary Interface to the Customer for implementing the
delivered solution.
○ State machine design of post processing tool developed by Nielsen Mobile
○ Strong understanding of VoLTE network and IMS elements and their
functionality’s
○ Writing the test cases depending on the testing
○ Preparing test plan.
○ Simulating the different type of failures and analysing of them.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. RF Product Design to parse the log files and also the design of the RF
metrics (KPIs) like Call Drop, Set up failure, RSRP, RSRQ as per 3GPP
Standards as required by the customers from the parsed output for
technologies like LTE, VoLTE.
2. State machine design of post processing tool developed by Nielsen
Mobile to report IMS call results to client
3. Coordinating with Engg/Dev Engineers for device Testing and Issue
Reproduction and discussing the same with India and USA team
members and attending technical discussions
4. Analysing PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP and RRC messages/logs,
troubleshooting & isolating issues from field or lab using tools like
tool like X-CAL MO, X-CAP, Accuver Converter and Gladiator.
5. Call Level Classification using State Machine of Gladiator for Voice
calls.
6. Troubleshooting and deriving the RF Metrics from the log data with in
depth knowledge on signalling, protocols and procedures. Also this
requires sound knowledge of 3GPP standards and good understanding
of Layer3 Messages
7. Root Cause Analysis for the KPIs like Accessibility,
Retainability and Throughput.
8. This project covers the US Carriers like AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US
