2. Where I started: I started by discussing with the class and my friends for ideas for the truth of whether there is actually such thing as a human zoo. As a class we went on a trip to the Auckland Zoo for information on the environment and life of the animals living there, to compare humans to animals.
3. What I did: We formed groups of approximately 3 to 4 people. In these groups we have discussed and researched together on many animals. Researching on these animals will give us a idea of how animals live and the differences from animals and humans. For the first 6 weeks we had been researching as a class by watching DVDs about the animals at the zoo and the differences of humans and animals. Then we spent 2 more weeks on independent research, we gathered information on 4 different animals, with this information we will use it for our main creative presentation.
4. Where I am now: I am now up to my main presentation which is where I will present, where I started, what I did, where I am now and the animals that I have researched. I am doing this presentation as a group with Nadia, Naomi and myself. We will be presenting this by using a giant brochure, with pictures and information of the animals we have researched and the truth of a human zoo.
5. What I learnt: I learnt that there is many similarities to animals and humans. I never actually knew as much as I do now, because I had never really thought about this subject before. I also learnt a lot about the environment of the animals and there living style.
6. How my learning has changed: Doing this learning has changed a lot of my thoughts about animals and there needs to be able to live. They are a lot like humans, which has made me think, and realize that animals are not just meat to eat, but they are a living being like humans.
