Editor's Notes
We Count it is an Inventory Service for Convenience Stores and other small retail stores, such as tobacco, and liquor shops . As of right now We Count It serves Cass County and most of Jackson County Missouri. We Count It is dedicated to providing our customers with an accurate count of their inventory in a timely manner and a reasonable rate.
In order to keep the Market analysis simple to understand I will focus on Convenience Stores since they will be the majority of the customers for We Count It. In the cities of Belton, Raymore, Grandview, Kansas City, Lees Summit, and Independence Missouri there are 1860 convenience stores, all of which being a potential customer. I figure a low estimation of 1% of the market can immediately be my customers, and I can add another .5% every year after, up to my fifth year.
In the first year, We Count It will have 5 workers. These people will not be employees they will be contract workers, they will receive 1099 at the end of the year. I will be included in with these 5 people, I figure all of us will be at each count. This will be my team. I will keep the team like this until the company has more than 30 stores to count, then I will add another team, having one of the original team members leading it. The worker dynamics will continue like this for at least the first 5 years, after which I will decide if I want to switch the worker type from contractor to employees.
Inventory services have been around for as long as stores have been around. Some stores have “in home” inventory services, where as other stores hire out side inventory services. In the Missouri/Kansas area, there are three main Inventory services; RGIS, Monarch, and QIS, these companies however focus on larger retail stores. We Count It is different from these companies because we focus on the gas stations and convenience stores.
Marketing will be handled by me for a while, I will go to the gas stations and ask if they are interested in an outside inventory service. If the owner says he or she is interested, I will go into the details. After a few years I might hire someone to find the customers for the company, but I am not sure.
I am counting on all of the start up costs to come from investors. I am in need of $6000 in start up costs. This could come from one investor or many investors.
For every $1000 invested, the investor (s) will get 10% of my net income for the first year.
