Ms. Brandy Dortch teaches World History and covers topics including ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome, China, Mesopotamia, and Egypt. Her class will focus on map skills, analyzing documents, and current events. She outlines rules for respect, preparation, timeliness, manners, prohibiting gum, and a discipline system involving warnings, conferences, and loss of points. Students begin with 180 points per semester and can earn points back by turning in assignments on time, but can lose points or the ability to participate in monthly activity days for infractions. Students will use agendas to record homework and must follow a dress code. Parents can communicate via email forms, agendas, phone calls, and a conference
