Hungry Vs Fed
While growing up, life as I knew it seemed to be great. I didn't know the difference between the hungry and fed. Until middle school, famine
was a myth. Realization set in upon learning more about the world. As soon as research, evidence, and lessons were placed before me, I
wanted to know more. By the time age 13 hit, I started to live what I once wanted to learn about and strive to fight against. I realized that the
fed can become the hungry. I would go through the day with breakfast coming from a gas station, and lunch and dinner coming from the
vending machines at school. Soon after becoming a legal adult, I realized how hard it was to even get help from the government. I had to be
pregnant, or have children before they would help me.

"Oh that's Mettaton's stage thing...y–you haven't seen him by chance, have you?"
"No, he called me earlier and said he left the lab a while ago."

It's crazy to look out at all of you knowing very well this maybe the last time I do. You have all grown up so much and as time dragged on

No one really understood her or could see what she really wanted. This story is about a girl wanting what everyone wants to fit in, but doesn't
know how to truly live.
This girl has been through hell and back. She has made it through the hard times and good times, when telling her family what's wrong once,
yet they didn't understand. So through the years she has learned to put up a wall and not show the person inside. You will learn who this girl

Causes Of Failure Of Independence
There are many cause of the failure of war independence 1857. They can be divided in many religious, economic , and social problems The
East India Company was aiming to annex all the states of India like Avadh, Tanjore, Jhansi, Satara, etc. That's why they introduced systems
like Doctrine of Lapse by which Indian states could be taken over by the Company in case there was no male heir to the throne of the state.
This provoked the rulers like Nana Sahib, the adopted son of Peshwa and Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi. The Company also declared that
after the death of the then Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, his family had to move out of the Red Fort and his successors were also
forbidden to use the title of emperor. All these attempts alienated both Hindu and Muslim Indians who realized that the White men were
intending to devour ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However. If there would be some unity between the different classes, it can be assumed that the British could possibly be defence During the
War of Independence 1857, there was a complete lack of unity among the fighting groups though all were fighting against a common enemy,
the British soldiers. There was no coordination between different regions of unrest and no attempts were made to bring their strengths
together. Some local leaders even helped the British in the war e.g. the ruler of Kashmir sent 2000 troops on the British side. However, there
were also some other reasons for the failure of the war.
The sudden outbreak of 1857 war had no defined goals or planning. Different groups were fighting for different causes. Most of the Muslims
wanted to restore the Mughal ruler, Bahadur Shah Zafar, but Hindus and Sikhs were not ready to fight for restoring the Muslim Mughal
Empire. Many princes were interested in regaining their own feudal powers. A good number of ordinary people remained neutral i.e. they did
not take part in the

Endless Love Is A Romance Directed By Shana Feste
The film Endless Love is a romance directed by Shana Feste in 2014 about 17 year–old Jade Butterfield (Gabriella Wilde) who meets and
falls in love with a fellow high school student, David Elliot (Alex Pettyfer). Jade wasn't the average high school student after her brother
passed away. She spent all her time with her parents and other brother, Keith Butterfield (Rhys Wakefield). Considering Jade's dad, Hugh
Butterfield (Bruce Greenwood), doesn't like the young lady she becomes while dating David, there are some troubles along the way. Hugh and
his wife's, Anne Butterfield (Joely Richardson) marriage begins to dissolve. With Jade's parents' disapproval, it only makes the love–struck
teens more determined to be together. Jade turns down ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite leaving in a few familiar moments (there is still a love scene with a fireplace). Alex Pettyfer and Jaime King lookalike Gabriella and
Wilde play the main teen lovebirds, who, unlike the original lovebirds, fall in love AFTER they graduate high school. And instead of David
comes from an affluent family and Jade is the product of a bohemian household, this has Jade as the introverted daughter of rich parents while
David is the son of a single, grease monkey dad.
Safe and predictable, there is nothing remotely surprising (and, therefore, interesting) about this rudimentary remake. The movie is so simple
and sappy in its plotting that it seems more suited for the Hallmark Channel than the big screen. It also doesn't take much to see that it's
sampling more of the work of Nicholas Sparks than Spencer's book. Since there isn't a movie adaptation of a Sparks novel coming out this
February, as it seems to be the case every year, this movie jumps on this opportunity and envisions how Sparks would've handled "Love" if he
wrote it.
To watch and enjoy Endless Love one must overcome the sappy love story of pretty teens with clear heads and endless romantic thoughts and
feelings. Everyone else will be rolling their eyes at the predictability of every bogus twist. Endless Love might as well be one long montage of
longing gazes, tender kisses, and lovers splashing in water falling in love. We never get a sense of why the two are drawn to each other. They

Examples Of Commencement Speech
Commencement speeches are useless. I know I'm making a commencement speech right now but really, these few minutes don't mean
anything. You're not going to change what's already happened. I bet at least once, you've been sitting in this audience, listening to someone on
stage say something sappy, and you look out, and your eyes glaze over, and you think "wow..... high school". In your head, memories are
flying past and it's just a montage of the "high school experience". Did you guys know we had four years to feel these emotions? Four whole
years to have montages about the high school experience? Commencement speeches are just a big excuse to feel some nostalgia, hold on to
the past, and feel temporarily happy again. To make up for what we should have been feeling this whole time. ... Show more content on

The reason is that people hate change (even when they shouldn't). Commencement speeches fight against change, by making you think about
everything you're losing. We always want to hold on to what we have, no matter what we think of it, just because it's already there. I bet if
each of you were living in tiny one–bedroom apartment, about to move into a mansion, you would still sit in that one room and say "wow...
I'm gonna miss this place". Even if you hated it. The brain loves to make change the enemy, just because something had to be lost in order to
be gained. Change is a good thing! You just have to look at all the

Personal Essay: Why Do Writers Write?
Why do writers write? Like Stephen King said, it's not for the money, and it's definitely not for the fame. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn
down a fat paycheck, but I started writing because it felt like something I was meant to do. I hesitated for years before I finally took the
plunge and tried writing a book. There were so many excuses...not enough time...not enough talent...or ooh look, there's something shiny!
The years passed and every so often, my need to write outweighed my reasons not to. I'll admit it. I wrote fanfiction. I got my feet wet and I
enjoyed the feedback. That still wasn't enough. I wrote a few pieces of satire and that wasn't enough either. My biggest obstacle was me. That
inner voice that said, "You just aren't good ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My hand flew across my spiral bound notebook with story ideas, characters, and dialogue. Some were good, some were bad, some were
downright awful, but my new mission in life was to write my own romance novel.
By the way, let me tell you why I will never give another writer a bad review. Writing a book is hard and if you take the initiative to try it, you
have my complete and utter respect. Simple words, but true nonetheless. Holy Hell, how did people do it?
Could I do it? Turns out, yes I could, and I did. After many rejections from publishers (those sting no matter how many you get) I finally got a
yes. You only need one yes to get your foot in the door. So here I am, two years after wracking my brain, pouring my heart out, and driving
my husband crazy with reading revisions to him ad nauseum.
I write romance because I want my readers to feel the same sense of happiness I feel when a love story can take you away from it all. You can
live vicariously through the characters' struggles, immerse yourself in a new place, smile, laugh, cry and come out of it knowing there is
always a happy ending. The world needs more happy

Movie Analysis : ' Oedipus The King '
While watching a cheesy romantic comedy or a sappy drama, it 's likely that one will feel some sort of emotional connection to the characters,
whether that be through happiness, grief, or empathy. As the characters in these movies fall in love, lose a loved one, or struggle through any
of life 's obstacles, one may cry or laugh out loud as they relate to what is happening on the screen. When it comes to Sophoclean tragedies,
one of the main goals is to give the audience these intense emotions through catharsis, bringing them an emotional purging and lasting
empathy for the characters being portrayed. The characters in these tragedies experience intense trauma and fatal downfalls, and the audience
feels relief that they are not experiencing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By the beginning of the tragedy, the audience is already aware of the famine, the prophecy fulfilled by Oedipus, and the tragic outcome of the
whole ordeal; in order to ensure an emotional experience, the Chorus goes into great detail about the suffering the citizens of Thebes face. For
instance, in the first Choral Ode, one Chorus member goes into dark detail about the overarching death due to the famine and plague in
Thebes:
Wasted thus by death on death
All in our city perish.
Corpses spread infection round;
None to tend or mourn is found,
There 's wailing on the altar stair;
Cries of mothers rend the air –
Long drawn–moans and piercing shrieks
Blend with prayers and litanies. (Sophocles 183–190)
As the Chorus describes the infected corpses scattered about the city and the desperate cries of the people, the audience is inclined to create a
graphic image of these events in their own minds, tailoring these horrific events to the capacities of their own experiences and understanding.
Death is a natural, human experience, and it is likely that members of the audience may have experienced grief and suffering themselves.
Sophocles adding details of the desperation the people of Thebes face, the wailing of those close to death, and the prayers they chant for a
cure, is likely to make the audience relate to a time they experienced grief and suffering themselves, making audience members feel for the
characters and see

Hawkeye Character Analysis
Society as a whole tells us (or at least my generation) that we watch too much television, but I have to admit, I live for M*A*S*H reruns. If it
were a horse, I would ride off into the sunset on it like some sappy love story. If you asked me about my ideal day, it would consist of having
a M*A*S*H palooza complete with hot chocolate and that super–buttery popcorn that makes you feel all greasy. What I like most about
M*A*S*H is that it's not just a show. It discusses various controversial topics that are still relevant today. For instance, in one episode, the
characters disobeyed their commanding officer in order to aid a soldier who was terrified of war. What they highlighted was that kindness
should outweigh orders. M*A*S*H also has very real characters, so much so that they seem to come to life. I feel like the 4077th M*A*S*H
unit is my family. Some of the characters in the series are very descriptive of me.

Each man carried individual items, which weighed between 12 and 18 pounds, and added onto this weight with other necessities for the whole

Persepolis Movie Essay
Set in revolutionary Iran during the 1980s and 1990s, Persepolis, a beautiful film, tells the story of a young girl, Marjane, growing up during
the revolution. The theme of Persepolis is about tension and freedom: the tension of the country, the self–inflicted tension of Marjane, and the
need of freedom for everyone. Director Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud uses movement, humor, expressions, sound, and editing to
pull this theme together. The combination of these different techniques in each scene completes the total effect of the movie. The film is a
sappy recounting of Marjane Satrapis's early childhood, adolescence and young adulthood living in and out of Tehran in the years following
Ayatollah Khomeini's 1979 Iranian Revolution. Marjane ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Seen many times throughout the film, Marjane can't help acting immature even reckless. Marjane's surroundings are consistently influencing
her, but luckily she never seems to fully drop her personal beliefs. Marjane certainly has her flaws and her strong–will makes it difficult to
adapt to the world that surrounds her. But throughout the film it is clear that her heart in Iran. Marjane eventually moves back to Iran after her
life falls apart in Europe. She soon finds out that Iran's conditions are still as brutal, if not more, has before she left. Marjane realizes that
home isn't the safest place for her to be and she is better off flourishing in another place, patiently waiting for her home to become the
paradise she has always felt it was. Persepolis is an excellent movie. It has a wonderful use of grayscale colors, montages, expression, and
sound. The way Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud combined these aspects, heightens the emotion of each scene. Ultimately, I believe
that through this film one should realize that one should fight for what they believe in no matter what the consequences. People need to learn
to rise up against the opposition that brings them down and establish one's beliefs; otherwise we'll remain unheard all our

as the victims contemplated revenge, the activity in their brains was recorded. The decision caused a rush of neural activity in the caudate

have been wronged; but is that really true? Will getting revenge on a person that did something bad towards you make you feel better in the
long run? In the book Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte there are many examples of revenge that still happen today. Most people think that

Wuthering Heights is not a romance novel. Far from it, in fact. Sure there are some romantic scenes in the story but the book is about revenge
and getting even. In Wuthering Heights, a man named Lockwood goes to Wuthering Heights manor to rent a nearby manor called Thrushcross
grange so even from the very beginning of the book you are getting deceived because Lockwood is not the main character. In fact he's not the
one telling the story at all. But I digress. He then moves into Thrushcross grange, after a dreadful night of being stuck in Wuthering Heights
manor because of a snow storm. While he was there, he was plagued by nightmares about a ghost named Catherine Linton trying to come

Hidden Meaning In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet
Most believe that the theme of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is if one's astrology signs do not match up then they not ment to be
together. Although, what most fail to realize is that Shakespeare has a hidden meaning cleverly masked by the thought of Romeo and Juliet
being 'Star Crossed lovers' controlled by fate and destiny. Then, when one takes a deeper look at the play it reveals a very different meaning.
Shakespeare's hidden meaning is all about human condition. Romeo and Juliet is hinged around two star crossed lovers, whose affections are
cruelly ripped apart by their parents long lasting feud. The play is structured so that the ending is inevitable, and all of the outcomes in the
play are due to the characters human conditions and the effect of others playing into the tragic ending. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is far
more about the nature of hating thy neighbor rather than loving thy neighbor, though ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Four of the five major characters, Romeo,Juliet and Mercutio and Tybalt all have the same after effect, death. Due to not only their parents
immaturity and hostility, but, their own as well. Each character's actions played a small part in influencing Romeo and Juliet's fate, each of
these characters share one of the same personal characteristics that is exhibited in all different forms. This characteristic is the same emotion
that Shakespeare has hidden, hostility.
Tybalt's fiery conduct and use of weapons, plays a major role in the death of Romeo and Juliet. From the first time Tybalt is introduced it
becomes obvious of his major importance in the play. The first scene in the play sets the whole atmosphere between the two families, the

Why Is College So Expensive If Students Are Paid So Little...
A Response to Michelle Chen A teacher has one of the most difficult and highest demanding jobs in society. They are responsible for
educating the future and giving their students the best chance to succeed. However, many teachers and professors are not paid nearly as much
as the demands placed on them should indicate. Michelle Chen, in her piece from The Nation titled, "Why Is College So Expensive if
Professors Are Paid So Little?," attempts to analyze the current issues with professors' wages in college and provide possible solutions.
Although Chen presents some solid ideas, her work suffers from her failure to address why college is so expensive, her inability to provide
more than one solution, and her overreliance on emotional aspects of the conflict. In her essay, Chen states a few problems that can hardly be
argued with: college is far too expensive and professors are paid much too little. She focuses mostly on adjuncts, or part–time professors, as it
is in this area that many of the problems reside. She writes, "With student debt and tuitions both ballooning across the country, a college
degree is in many ways more expensive – or overvalued – today than ever." Unfortunately, she fails to provide in–depth analysis on why
college is so costly to begin with. It is because of this shortcoming that Chen's work is much weaker as a whole. Firstly, her title becomes
misleading, and makes her a possibly untrustworthy source. Secondly, her failure to acknowledge the reasons why college is so expensive cuts
off an entire possibility of solutions. Addressing where all this money is being spent could provide an easier and stronger solution than the one
Chen provides. When discussing a topic such as this, there are an abundance of possible solutions that are worth taking a look at. Michelle
Chen, however, only decides to closely examine one: unionization of faculty. She says, "[Layfield] hopes that organizing with her union for a
fair contract can ensure future generations of faculty will face a richer career horizon." While unionization is certainly not a bad idea, Chen
puts too much focus on this one solution. She fails to even acknowledge other possible solutions, such as making cuts in administrative
budgets

Disney Princesses Are Good Role Models
Disney Princesses are Good Role Models for Young Girls Every girl will have that one Disney princess who they look up to as they are
growing up. Although many question the negative images Disney princesses portray, all princesses have aspiring qualities and teach wise and
knowledgeable lessons for young minds to learn about through a magical journey. Disney princesses are good role models for young girls, in
belief that they share healthy life lessons, promote diverse cultures and expose girls the true meaning of love. Here and there, it is crucial that

First off Disney princesses promote different ethnicities and cultures. "He's human, you're a mermaid" (Little par 4). This quote comes from
The Little Mermaid when Triton yells at Ariel for associating with humans. Cultural "war" has been happening since the beginning of time
and because of it all young girls, even boys should be aware of the diversity within our society. Secondly, by having culturally diverse Disney
princesses they can teach all girls, that anyone can do anything as long as they put their mind to it. No matter who they are or what they look
like, "The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work" (Inspirational 2). This quote is from The Princess and the Frog
when Tiana shows that working hard is what gets you far in life, also since Tiana is African–American it really shows that anyone can do
anything. On another note, thinking about Disneyworld and Disneyland millions of girls of different ethnicity go every day to meet their
favourite princess. They go and buy all the merchandise, watch the movie over and over again. All in all, Disney princesses promote diversity
of cultures in creative aspects and give all girls a chance to relate in special

Differences Between April Morning Book And Movie
In Howard Fast's "April Morning", it tells the coming of age story of 15 year old Adam. What makes the novel unique is that it follows Adam
through the course of one day, as he is quickly forced into manhood at the start of the revolutionary war. On the heels of this great novel came
a film production. Although similar, there were many similarities and differences between the two stories. In the film adaptation of April
Morning you will see characters taken out of the film or changed and scenes that had been left out or added.
The April Morning novel and film have many similarities as they both timeline the same events and for the most part tell you the same story.
The biggest difference between the novel and the film is that in the book the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Domestic Violence In Fifty Shades Of Grey
Fifty Shades of Grey is the worldwide phenomenon in which the main protagonist physically abuses, stalks and tortures his so called 'love
interest'. Although there have been several depictions of abuse in films and novels, these recognise domestic violence as a disgraceful sin;
allowing us to suffer a somewhat less painful experience in the audience.
Personally, I didn't mind the novel's plot, which despite the racy sex scenes, is based on the young university student Anastasia Steele falling
in love with the young, rich, and alluring business man Christian Grey. On screen however, 50 Shades is not the sexy love story promised.

Comparing Cassia And Ky's Journey To A Cruel Society
The book Crossed, by Ally Condie, was about Cassia and Ky's journey to find "The Rising". This book was an awkward transitional book that
I painfully pushed through to be able to read the next edition. It started where the previous book left off, the Society placed the two in
different places, and following that, the book quickly escalated in terms of violence. From what started as a sappy romance novel (which in
my opinion, was quite enjoyable for just some light reading), turned into a "fight for your life" adventure across the canyon to find the
rebellion. Ky travels to a camp as a decoy villager with other boys that are even much younger than he is in the Outer Provinces. The cruel
society has just sent the boys there to die from the enemy shootings that happen frequently. Ky ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

book quickly declined in interest and variety. After a few deaths, and about a little more than 100 pages, Cassia and Ky find each other, again,
very coincidentally, and have a very dramatic reunion with a lot of poetry. In the previous book, poetry was Cassia's inspiration to keep

Samaid Meals Analysis
A 43–year–old woman lies about her age and falls for a younger man who doesn't know the truth.
STORY COMMENTS
SALAD DAYS is a script that presents with an enjoyable, high concept premise. The idea of an older woman pretending to be a younger
woman and lying to her boyfriend/husband is a great setup for comedy, conflict, and character development. One can envision the antics and
capers the protagonist will endure to keep her age a secret. Plenty of humor can be generated.
The script has the opportunity to examine themes about ageless love and the age gap between men and women.
While the concept is solid, the first act requires more development.
The first act sets up the ordinary world of the protagonist, Suzy. She works for a candy company, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It's unclear why Suzy would say: "Don't you have a girlfriend?"
The conversation on page 29 isn't very compelling: "Do you find me desirable?"
On page 30, it's not clear why Valentino would ask, "What dating site?" given they met on a dating site.
The scene in the hospital with the baby works better without the added dialogue. Just the visual of Suzy holding the baby is needed, vs.
Valentino asking her "Want a baby too?"
Create a separate scene about being evicted versus the same scene with them in the car.
Suzy is sweet. She's definitely good hearted and likable. She's insecure and this makes her vulnerable. She has inner conflict about her age.
She has good potential to be a comedic character, but continue to develop her comedic side by showing how she covers up the truth about her
age. Make sure to identify how she grows as a character and how her feelings about her age changes.
Bob and Diane are both great sidekicks. They sound and act like natural comedic characters.
Valentino is more likable when he's a bit on edge. Don't make him too nice. There's no tension in that. To create tension and chemistry there
has to be resistance. He becomes way too immature and

Dover Bitch Essay
When one reads the titles, it is pretty apparent that these two poems are related by some means. Ironically, they were not written by the poet.
"Dover Beach" is a slightly sappy poem written in a depressing matter. A man pours out his heart and feelings to his companion on the beach.
Sappy and depressing do not seem to fit together very well, but that is the best terminology to describe it. As for "Dover Bitch", it is mocking
the poem "Dover Beach." In this poem, the writer is claiming the female from "Dover Beach" would rather get physical that simply listen to

life. In the poem "Dover Beach" by Matthew Arnold, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"Dover Bitch" was written by an apparently sarcastic, humorous man named Anthony Hecht. In the beginning of this poem, he wants to make
sure the reader knows exactly who is mocking by calling Matthew Arnold by name. While "Dover Beach" was written with beautiful,
meaningful words "Dover Bitch" was written in a sort of conversational tone. He mocks how the speaker in Arnold's poem rambles on and the
girl has to listen to his garbage. He claims the girl was simply thinking of "the notion of what his whiskers would feel like/on the back of her
neck" (lines 10–11). Hecht states that he had been intimate with this woman and it was simply just a once in a while thing. Whenever he came
to town, he would give her a present, sleep with her, and then move on with his life. It could be a month or a year before this woman heard
from him again. Sadly, the woman went along with it. Whenever he called, she came running. His view on life is less emotional than that of
Matthew Arnold. Arnold feels as though looking as waves can bring on emotions while Hecht can have relations with a woman and not feel a

Why Should The Color Purple Be Banned Essay
The book A Color Purple is regularly challenged because those in power cannot handle the past. They seem to forget that books are subjective.
Some teenagers read more mature books than people thrice their age. Even if it is a 'mature read' there is something to learn from all books.
No books should be completely banned from any town, province, or country. A book is like music. Some enjoy the loud crashes of war with a
rhythm of gripping tension. Others take in the sweet strums of sappy love, a heartfelt keel to the perfect love story. What I am trying to say
here is that music, much like books, is subjective. There would only be one genre of music if we all enjoyed the same slow waltz. This is the
same with books. A country singer who only reads hunting books and gun magazines is not going to enjoy a book based on a semi–illiterate,
small town, black lesbian from the early 1900's life, and that's okay. Such a story may be considered scandalous to this back road trucker. Yet
that is still not an excuse to ban the throaty song that is A Color Purple because you enjoy slapstick comedy. There are other people out there
who would enjoy such a book and your banning is only making it harder for them to find ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay on Fathead Commercial Analysis
American culture has become littered with commercials the past few decades. It does not matter if you are watching television or reading a
magazine, you are bound to come across some advertisement promoting a product that you supposedly need to make life easier. James
Twitchell even goes on to say that "The culture we live in is carried on the back of advertising" (Twitchell). Some commercials try to woo you
in with sappy songs and sad images, while others take a path that will create good feelings and laughter that will leave you thinking about
their product all day. Fathead, a company that sells huge life–like posters of athletes and other popular figures, takes the latter approach to
selling their product. Their new "Clay Matthews, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Matthews also makes many sarcastic remarks to the supposed home owners. The commercial even shows a cat with a bag full of money
robbing the house. The way Matthews applies comedic satire to the commercial leaves people with a warm, funny feeling that makes them
want a fathead, which is the whole point of producing the commercial. Just as many other companies use testimonial to endorse their
products, Fathead exploits the popularity of Clay Matthews to sell fatheads. Matthews is an NFL superstar that is beloved by many sports
fanatics. Matthews is also perfect for selling fatheads because the majority of fatheads are sports orientated. While having someone as popular
as Clay Matthews is already enough to bring in big profit, Fathead also puts him in a comedic light, which only adds to the amount of support
Fathead earns. With an adored figure like Clay Matthews selling products, it is highly likely for that commercial to succeed. Fathead most
likely had huge success in selling fatheads because their "Clay Matthews, Handyman" commercial used many popular strategies to bring in
customers, such as a friendly setting, comedic appeal, and a powerful testimonial. Fathead used all these tactics to produce an almost perfect
commercial that will put a smile on anyone's face. Many commercials may use the same format that Fathead uses but with the combination of
a great product and the comedic

Hungry Vs Fed

  • 1. Hungry Vs Fed While growing up, life as I knew it seemed to be great. I didn't know the difference between the hungry and fed. Until middle school, famine was a myth. Realization set in upon learning more about the world. As soon as research, evidence, and lessons were placed before me, I wanted to know more. By the time age 13 hit, I started to live what I once wanted to learn about and strive to fight against. I realized that the fed can become the hungry. I would go through the day with breakfast coming from a gas station, and lunch and dinner coming from the vending machines at school. Soon after becoming a legal adult, I realized how hard it was to even get help from the government. I had to be pregnant, or have children before they would help me. ... "A human soul isn't strong enough to pass through the barrier alone. Good evening and congratulations to the NCPS class of 2017. I would like to say thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak, I'm 100% sure you will regret it. Now I'm sure you're expecting a young, smart, charming individual like me to give a sappy like speech about following your dreams and reaching for the stars, but let's be real we all know Aiden H would take care of that for me. Here it goes I will make it quick because we all know that JD is dying to raise his hand and ask loads of irrelevant questions simply to annoy the audience. We are all guilty of counting down the days but now as you look to the people on your left and your right, you realize maybe this wasn't so bad. It's crazy to look out at all of you knowing very well this maybe the last time I do. You have all grown up so much and as time dragged on slowly we started to become our own person. People fine themselves in school. Brady realized that his homework is better off at school rather than left at grandmas. • 12. Causes Of Failure Of Independence There are many cause of the failure of war independence 1857. They can be divided in many religious, economic , and social problems The East India Company was aiming to annex all the states of India like Avadh, Tanjore, Jhansi, Satara, etc. That's why they introduced systems like Doctrine of Lapse by which Indian states could be taken over by the Company in case there was no male heir to the throne of the state. This provoked the rulers like Nana Sahib, the adopted son of Peshwa and Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi. The Company also declared that after the death of the then Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, his family had to move out of the Red Fort and his successors were also forbidden to use the title of emperor. All these attempts alienated both Hindu and Muslim Indians who realized that the White men were intending to devour ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However. If there would be some unity between the different classes, it can be assumed that the British could possibly be defence During the War of Independence 1857, there was a complete lack of unity among the fighting groups though all were fighting against a common enemy, the British soldiers. There was no coordination between different regions of unrest and no attempts were made to bring their strengths together. Some local leaders even helped the British in the war e.g. the ruler of Kashmir sent 2000 troops on the British side. However, there were also some other reasons for the failure of the war. The sudden outbreak of 1857 war had no defined goals or planning. Different groups were fighting for different causes. Most of the Muslims wanted to restore the Mughal ruler, Bahadur Shah Zafar, but Hindus and Sikhs were not ready to fight for restoring the Muslim Mughal Empire. Many princes were interested in regaining their own feudal powers. A good number of ordinary people remained neutral i.e. they did not take part in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Endless Love Is A Romance Directed By Shana Feste The film Endless Love is a romance directed by Shana Feste in 2014 about 17 year–old Jade Butterfield (Gabriella Wilde) who meets and falls in love with a fellow high school student, David Elliot (Alex Pettyfer). Jade wasn't the average high school student after her brother passed away. She spent all her time with her parents and other brother, Keith Butterfield (Rhys Wakefield). Considering Jade's dad, Hugh Butterfield (Bruce Greenwood), doesn't like the young lady she becomes while dating David, there are some troubles along the way. Hugh and his wife's, Anne Butterfield (Joely Richardson) marriage begins to dissolve. With Jade's parents' disapproval, it only makes the love–struck teens more determined to be together. Jade turns down ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite leaving in a few familiar moments (there is still a love scene with a fireplace). Alex Pettyfer and Jaime King lookalike Gabriella and Wilde play the main teen lovebirds, who, unlike the original lovebirds, fall in love AFTER they graduate high school. And instead of David comes from an affluent family and Jade is the product of a bohemian household, this has Jade as the introverted daughter of rich parents while David is the son of a single, grease monkey dad. Safe and predictable, there is nothing remotely surprising (and, therefore, interesting) about this rudimentary remake. The movie is so simple and sappy in its plotting that it seems more suited for the Hallmark Channel than the big screen. It also doesn't take much to see that it's sampling more of the work of Nicholas Sparks than Spencer's book. Since there isn't a movie adaptation of a Sparks novel coming out this February, as it seems to be the case every year, this movie jumps on this opportunity and envisions how Sparks would've handled "Love" if he wrote it. To watch and enjoy Endless Love one must overcome the sappy love story of pretty teens with clear heads and endless romantic thoughts and feelings. Everyone else will be rolling their eyes at the predictability of every bogus twist. Endless Love might as well be one long montage of longing gazes, tender kisses, and lovers splashing in water falling in love. We never get a sense of why the two are drawn to each other. They rarely ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. Examples Of Commencement Speech Commencement speeches are useless. I know I'm making a commencement speech right now but really, these few minutes don't mean anything. You're not going to change what's already happened. I bet at least once, you've been sitting in this audience, listening to someone on stage say something sappy, and you look out, and your eyes glaze over, and you think "wow..... high school". In your head, memories are flying past and it's just a montage of the "high school experience". Did you guys know we had four years to feel these emotions? Four whole years to have montages about the high school experience? Commencement speeches are just a big excuse to feel some nostalgia, hold on to the past, and feel temporarily happy again. To make up for what we should have been feeling this whole time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reason is that people hate change (even when they shouldn't). Commencement speeches fight against change, by making you think about everything you're losing. We always want to hold on to what we have, no matter what we think of it, just because it's already there. I bet if each of you were living in tiny one–bedroom apartment, about to move into a mansion, you would still sit in that one room and say "wow... I'm gonna miss this place". Even if you hated it. • 20. Personal Essay: Why Do Writers Write? Why do writers write? Like Stephen King said, it's not for the money, and it's definitely not for the fame. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn down a fat paycheck, but I started writing because it felt like something I was meant to do. I hesitated for years before I finally took the plunge and tried writing a book. There were so many excuses...not enough time...not enough talent...or ooh look, there's something shiny! The years passed and every so often, my need to write outweighed my reasons not to. I'll admit it. I wrote fanfiction. I got my feet wet and I enjoyed the feedback. That still wasn't enough. I wrote a few pieces of satire and that wasn't enough either. My biggest obstacle was me. That inner voice that said, "You just aren't good ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... My hand flew across my spiral bound notebook with story ideas, characters, and dialogue. Writing a book is hard and if you take the initiative to try it, you have my complete and utter respect. Simple words, but true nonetheless. Holy Hell, how did people do it? Could I do it? Turns out, yes I could, and I did. After many rejections from publishers (those sting no matter how many you get) I finally got a yes. You only need one yes to get your foot in the door. So here I am, two years after wracking my brain, pouring my heart out, and driving my husband crazy with reading revisions to him ad nauseum. I write romance because I want my readers to feel the same sense of happiness I feel when a love story can take you away from it all. You can live vicariously through the characters' struggles, immerse yourself in a new place, smile, laugh, cry and come out of it knowing there is always a happy ending. • 22. Movie Analysis : ' Oedipus The King ' While watching a cheesy romantic comedy or a sappy drama, it 's likely that one will feel some sort of emotional connection to the characters, whether that be through happiness, grief, or empathy. As the characters in these movies fall in love, lose a loved one, or struggle through any of life 's obstacles, one may cry or laugh out loud as they relate to what is happening on the screen. When it comes to Sophoclean tragedies, one of the main goals is to give the audience these intense emotions through catharsis, bringing them an emotional purging and lasting empathy for the characters being portrayed. The characters in these tragedies experience intense trauma and fatal downfalls, and the audience feels relief that they are not experiencing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By the beginning of the tragedy, the audience is already aware of the famine, the prophecy fulfilled by Oedipus, and the tragic outcome of the whole ordeal; in order to ensure an emotional experience, the Chorus goes into great detail about the suffering the citizens of Thebes face. For instance, in the first Choral Ode, one Chorus member goes into dark detail about the overarching death due to the famine and plague in Thebes: Wasted thus by death on death All in our city perish. Corpses spread infection round; None to tend or mourn is found, There 's wailing on the altar stair; Cries of mothers rend the air – Long drawn–moans and piercing shrieks Blend with prayers and litanies. (Sophocles 183–190) As the Chorus describes the infected corpses scattered about the city and the desperate cries of the people, the audience is inclined to create a graphic image of these events in their own minds, tailoring these horrific events to the capacities of their own experiences and understanding. Death is a natural, human experience, and it is likely that members of the audience may have experienced grief and suffering themselves. Sophocles adding details of the desperation the people of Thebes face, the wailing of those close to death, and the prayers they chant for a cure, is likely to make the audience relate to a time they experienced grief and suffering themselves, making audience members feel for the characters and see ... If you asked me about my ideal day, it would consist of having a M*A*S*H palooza complete with hot chocolate and that super–buttery popcorn that makes you feel all greasy. What I like most about M*A*S*H is that it's not just a show. It discusses various controversial topics that are still relevant today. For instance, in one episode, the characters disobeyed their commanding officer in order to aid a soldier who was terrified of war. What they highlighted was that kindness should outweigh orders. M*A*S*H also has very real characters, so much so that they seem to come to life. I feel like the 4077th M*A*S*H unit is my family. Some of the characters in the series are very descriptive of me. The theme of Persepolis is about tension and freedom: the tension of the country, the self–inflicted tension of Marjane, and the need of freedom for everyone. Director Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud uses movement, humor, expressions, sound, and editing to pull this theme together. The combination of these different techniques in each scene completes the total effect of the movie. • 40. Why Is College So Expensive If Students Are Paid So Little... A Response to Michelle Chen A teacher has one of the most difficult and highest demanding jobs in society. They are responsible for educating the future and giving their students the best chance to succeed. However, many teachers and professors are not paid nearly as much as the demands placed on them should indicate. Michelle Chen, in her piece from The Nation titled, "Why Is College So Expensive if Professors Are Paid So Little?," attempts to analyze the current issues with professors' wages in college and provide possible solutions. Although Chen presents some solid ideas, her work suffers from her failure to address why college is so expensive, her inability to provide more than one solution, and her overreliance on emotional aspects of the conflict. In her essay, Chen states a few problems that can hardly be argued with: college is far too expensive and professors are paid much too little. She focuses mostly on adjuncts, or part–time professors, as it is in this area that many of the problems reside. She writes, "With student debt and tuitions both ballooning across the country, a college degree is in many ways more expensive – or overvalued – today than ever." Unfortunately, she fails to provide in–depth analysis on why college is so costly to begin with. It is because of this shortcoming that Chen's work is much weaker as a whole. Firstly, her title becomes misleading, and makes her a possibly untrustworthy source. Secondly, her failure to acknowledge the reasons why college is so expensive cuts off an entire possibility of solutions. Addressing where all this money is being spent could provide an easier and stronger solution than the one Chen provides. When discussing a topic such as this, there are an abundance of possible solutions that are worth taking a look at. Michelle Chen, however, only decides to closely examine one: unionization of faculty. She says, "[Layfield] hopes that organizing with her union for a fair contract can ensure future generations of faculty will face a richer career horizon." While unionization is certainly not a bad idea, Chen puts too much focus on this one solution. She fails to even acknowledge other possible solutions, such as making cuts in administrative budgets ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 58. Personal Narrative: What You Should Know About Me What you Should Know About Me What should you know about me? This is a very hard question for me to answer, but I am going to give it a try, and we will see what we end up with. School isn't necessarily my strongest suit, but I am a very athletic person. At the beginning of the school year I play golf. This year I am the number one varsity golfer. Just a few days after golf ends, I start basketball. Basketball is by far my weakest sport, but I enjoy it because it keeps me in shape for the rest of my sports. After basketball, comes my favorite sport, softball. I play softball for the high school, but I also play softball on a travel league all summer! In my upcoming years, I plan to go to college at UF and become a Florida ... • 60. Domestic Violence In Fifty Shades Of Grey Fifty Shades of Grey is the worldwide phenomenon in which the main protagonist physically abuses, stalks and tortures his so called 'love interest'. Although there have been several depictions of abuse in films and novels, these recognise domestic violence as a disgraceful sin; allowing us to suffer a somewhat less painful experience in the audience. Personally, I didn't mind the novel's plot, which despite the racy sex scenes, is based on the young university student Anastasia Steele falling in love with the young, rich, and alluring business man Christian Grey. On screen however, 50 Shades is not the sexy love story promised. Anastasia meets Christian after being forced to interview him for a newspaper article, and ignoring the fact that ... • 62. Small Town Breakup Research Paper The pain of a small town breakup It's Friday night and your cuddled up in the blanket on the couch watching a sappy romance movie alone. You see your phone light up with notifications from friends trying to get you to come out. You have already taken of your bra and threw on those baggy sweatpants. Right now you would rather be alone than in a social setting. Some time has gone by since your recent breakup with your boyfriend. You are still fragile and broken and you would rather consume your feelings in that half gallon of ice cream sitting in the freezer. While most break ups are emotional and hard to go through, this break up stings a little more. Your ex lives in the same town. Within these few miles you have shared many memories some ... • 64. Comparing Cassia And Ky's Journey To A Cruel Society The book Crossed, by Ally Condie, was about Cassia and Ky's journey to find "The Rising". This book was an awkward transitional book that I painfully pushed through to be able to read the next edition. It started where the previous book left off, the Society placed the two in different places, and following that, the book quickly escalated in terms of violence. From what started as a sappy romance novel (which in my opinion, was quite enjoyable for just some light reading), turned into a "fight for your life" adventure across the canyon to find the rebellion. Ky travels to a camp as a decoy villager with other boys that are even much younger than he is in the Outer Provinces. The cruel society has just sent the boys there to die from the enemy shootings that happen frequently. Ky ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cassia, who at the time had been training for her Society occupation, decided to search for Ky. She illegally boarded a ship and very coincidentally ended up where Ky had been right before he left for the canyons. After Cassia, too, decided to go to the canyons, the plot of the book quickly declined in interest and variety. After a few deaths, and about a little more than 100 pages, Cassia and Ky find each other, again, very coincidentally, and have a very dramatic reunion with a lot of poetry. In the previous book, poetry was Cassia's inspiration to keep fighting for Ky. In this book, it is a recurring theme, but by overuse, it has consequently become a little excessive. It's very repetitive, although I understand the main characters' general inspiration comes from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 66. Samaid Meals Analysis A 43–year–old woman lies about her age and falls for a younger man who doesn't know the truth. STORY COMMENTS SALAD DAYS is a script that presents with an enjoyable, high concept premise. The idea of an older woman pretending to be a younger woman and lying to her boyfriend/husband is a great setup for comedy, conflict, and character development. One can envision the antics and capers the protagonist will endure to keep her age a secret. It's unclear why Suzy would say: "Don't you have a girlfriend?" The conversation on page 29 isn't very compelling: "Do you find me desirable?" On page 30, it's not clear why Valentino would ask, "What dating site?" given they met on a dating site. The scene in the hospital with the baby works better without the added dialogue. Just the visual of Suzy holding the baby is needed, vs. Valentino asking her "Want a baby too?" Create a separate scene about being evicted versus the same scene with them in the car. Suzy is sweet. She's definitely good hearted and likable. She's insecure and this makes her vulnerable. She has inner conflict about her age. She has good potential to be a comedic character, but continue to develop her comedic side by showing how she covers up the truth about her age. Make sure to identify how she grows as a character and how her feelings about her age changes. Bob and Diane are both great sidekicks. They sound and act like natural comedic characters. Valentino is more likable when he's a bit on edge. Don't make him too nice. There's no tension in that. To create tension and chemistry there has to be resistance. He becomes way too immature and ... • 68. College Admissions Essay: Childhood Memories Of Leaving... Hey everybody, it's Haley! I can't believe that it's already June, also known as the busiest month of my life. But all that I can think about is leaving this school. Don't get me wrong; I'm extremely exited to finally get out of this school (I've been here for 10 long years). Yet, I'm also really sad. Within the past 10 years, I've had so many amazing memories, but there's also the bad memories that I'm ecstatic to run away from. I've also made some amazing friends that will be attending Reagan with me, but I'm also leaving behind other great friendships that have built up overtime. Overall, I guess I'm just attached to this school in general – not a good thing. When I was younger, I never thought about leaving this school; I thought I was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 70. Comparison Of Disney's Beauty And The Beast "She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within." Disney's Beauty and the Beast has taught me many life lessons. Although there are a few different versions of this movie, each teaches a valuable view of life. Life is not all a fairytale, and this movie, unlike some other Disney movies, shows that. Beauty and the Beast gives examples of realistic messages to carry with you through life. We're starting off sappy with, "True love is when you're willing to sacrifice yourself for another." Sacrifice plays a huge role in the relationships portrayed in the movie. From Belle sacrificing her freedom and taking her father's place as the Beast's castle prisoner, to the Beast sacrificing his happiness and letting Belle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 72. Dover Bitch Essay When one reads the titles, it is pretty apparent that these two poems are related by some means. Ironically, they were not written by the poet. "Dover Beach" is a slightly sappy poem written in a depressing matter. A man pours out his heart and feelings to his companion on the beach. Sappy and depressing do not seem to fit together very well, but that is the best terminology to describe it. As for "Dover Bitch", it is mocking the poem "Dover Beach." In this poem, the writer is claiming the female from "Dover Beach" would rather get physical that simply listen to her date ramble on. While analyzing "Dover Beach" and "Dover Bitch", it is evident the two writers have opposing views on the outlook of life. In the poem "Dover Beach" by Matthew Arnold, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Dover Bitch" was written by an apparently sarcastic, humorous man named Anthony Hecht. In the beginning of this poem, he wants to make sure the reader knows exactly who is mocking by calling Matthew Arnold by name. While "Dover Beach" was written with beautiful, meaningful words "Dover Bitch" was written in a sort of conversational tone. He mocks how the speaker in Arnold's poem rambles on and the girl has to listen to his garbage. He claims the girl was simply thinking of "the notion of what his whiskers would feel like/on the back of her neck" (lines 10–11). Hecht states that he had been intimate with this woman and it was simply just a once in a while thing. Whenever he came to town, he would give her a present, sleep with her, and then move on with his life. It could be a month or a year before this woman heard from him again. Sadly, the woman went along with it. Whenever he called, she came running. His view on life is less emotional than that of Matthew Arnold. Arnold feels as though looking as waves can bring on emotions while Hecht can have relations with a woman and not feel a spark of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 74. Why Should The Color Purple Be Banned Essay The book A Color Purple is regularly challenged because those in power cannot handle the past. They seem to forget that books are subjective. Some teenagers read more mature books than people thrice their age. Even if it is a 'mature read' there is something to learn from all books. No books should be completely banned from any town, province, or country. A book is like music. Some enjoy the loud crashes of war with a rhythm of gripping tension. Others take in the sweet strums of sappy love, a heartfelt keel to the perfect love story. What I am trying to say here is that music, much like books, is subjective. There would only be one genre of music if we all enjoyed the same slow waltz. This is the same with books. A country singer who only reads hunting books and gun magazines is not going to enjoy a book based on a semi–illiterate, small town, black lesbian from the early 1900's life, and that's okay. Such a story may be considered scandalous to this back road trucker. Yet that is still not an excuse to ban the throaty song that is A Color Purple because you enjoy slapstick comedy. There are other people out there who would enjoy such a book and your banning is only making it harder for them to find ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is more of a difference in their brains make up that . . . make up their differences. So the forcing of literature one doesn't prefer down their throat is a bad practice and banning books is part of such practice. • 78. Essay on Fathead Commercial Analysis American culture has become littered with commercials the past few decades. It does not matter if you are watching television or reading a magazine, you are bound to come across some advertisement promoting a product that you supposedly need to make life easier. James Twitchell even goes on to say that "The culture we live in is carried on the back of advertising" (Twitchell). Some commercials try to woo you in with sappy songs and sad images, while others take a path that will create good feelings and laughter that will leave you thinking about their product all day. Fathead, a company that sells huge life–like posters of athletes and other popular figures, takes the latter approach to selling their product. Their new "Clay Matthews, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Matthews also makes many sarcastic remarks to the supposed home owners. The commercial even shows a cat with a bag full of money robbing the house. The way Matthews applies comedic satire to the commercial leaves people with a warm, funny feeling that makes them want a fathead, which is the whole point of producing the commercial. Just as many other companies use testimonial to endorse their products, Fathead exploits the popularity of Clay Matthews to sell fatheads. Matthews is an NFL superstar that is beloved by many sports fanatics. Matthews is also perfect for selling fatheads because the majority of fatheads are sports orientated. While having someone as popular as Clay Matthews is already enough to bring in big profit, Fathead also puts him in a comedic light, which only adds to the amount of support Fathead earns. With an adored figure like Clay Matthews selling products, it is highly likely for that commercial to succeed. Fathead most likely had huge success in selling fatheads because their "Clay Matthews, Handyman" commercial used many popular strategies to bring in customers, such as a friendly setting, comedic appeal, and a powerful testimonial. Fathead used all these tactics to produce an almost perfect commercial that will put a smile on anyone's face.
