I hate it when they make something impossible to find! It is an upgrade, and now I can’t find
history to clear it!

Geesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP! Thanks!

admin answers:

Delete Norton, get MalwareBytes.

Never pay for anti-virus again.

                                                                                            1/7

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 How Do I Remove Viruses?
Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 How Do I Remove Viruses?
I just downloaded the kaspersky internet security 2012 Trail from Kaspersky.com. I ran a full
system scan. I have 9 Viruses and 3 Trojans. When I read the list some say disinfected others
say Detected: not processed, undefined, Quarantined. Then when i click on them there are the
options to delete or process. So i click process and window pops and says impossible to
disinfect, Delete and ignore. All I want to do is remove these viruses from my computer. How do
i do that? Thanks and 10 Points

admin answers:

First of all try finding the infected files using the path given and delete them manually, If you
can’t then
->Turn off your computer

Try going into Safe-mode-> you can do that by pressing F8 as soon as you press the power
button to boot up your computer. Use safe mode with networking if you want to download some
AV software to kill the virus.
You can run a Scan Using TrendMicro TDSS Killer and also try Hitman Pro or Malware bytes.
Check your IE settings if unable to go online,
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset

                                                                                                2/7
And also go to Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings-> make sure proxy is
not checked. If you are unable to go online

You can also delete manually if software’s don’t work
Run->msconfig->under start up check for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, it will show
the location of those files as well, visit those location manually and delete
If you know how to handle registry search for Whatever the file name virus runs with and delete
them as well.

P.S.
Download CCleaner as well…
CCleaner doesn’t remove virus, but run a registry clean up after removing the virus.

I suggested(TDSS Killer, Malware Bytes, Hitman Pro) as they have very high success rates and
All are free softwares…Use the softwares for temporary use

Donna asks…

internet security 2012?
As of an hour ago, I’ve recieved the virus known as “Internet Security 2012“, simple as that. It
wasa not the XP, vista or the 7 version I saw so I assume it’s just one of the name changing
variants. I’ve went through many trials already, or some reason I can’t get into safe mode on
windows 7 so running malaware through that doesn’t seem like an option.

I’m also unable to use the “FixNCR” registry file, or the Spywaredoc due to the virus stopping
me. Not only that, Internet security 2012 also stops me from using my task manager so I can’t
even stop its process, not to mention remove the files listed as another guide has stated.

                                                                                           3/7
Any help would be appreciated and I would do practically any suggestion at this point. Thank
you.

“I’ve recieved the virus known as “Internet Security 2012?, simple as that.”

What you mean is, you clicked on the link to download & install “Internet Security 2012?.

Use System Restore to roll back to before you installed it.

How to get rid of XP Internet Security 2012?
Okay so this virus “claims” to scan and stuff but i know it’s fake everytime i attempt to use
internet explorer or firefox a scan pops up and i can’t use it… so “registered” by using a fake
reg number i found online. It worked and now i am able to go on yahoo answers and ask how to
get rid of it! I may be able to do things but it isn’t full erased. When ever i click a website that

                                                                                              4/7
google lists those annoying ads come up and it’s just so frustrating! I’ve tried system restore
but nothing happened. After i tried system restore my computer turned back on and the program
was still there and working…. Please help if you can because this stinks

admin answers:

Try scanning your computer with Malwarebytes. Try this:

1. You’ll need Malwarebytes, so if you haven’t already, download Malwarebytes from
http://bleepingvirus.com/goto/malwarebytes or http://malwarebytes.org (either one will work)

2. Restart your computer. When your computer starts up, after the BIOS/logo screen, press [F8]
and choose “SAFE MODE with Networking” (*very important!*). Install Malwarebytes on your
computer. Now update Malwarebytes.

3. Open Malwarebytes and do a **FULL SCAN** (you must do a FULL SCAN) from
Malwarebytes and wait for it to finish. This will take some time to complete so be patient. A Full
Scan will scan more files and pick up more things than a “quick scan”.

4. Remove/delete all the nasties it found then reboot your computer again in *SAFE MODE*.

5. Run a “FULL SCAN” again from Malwarebytes in case there are more infected files that
didn’t show up the first time as generally deleting the first lot of infected files ‘unhides’ more
files which are infected.

Let me know how you get on and whether this has fixed it.

                                                                                                 5/7
Nancy asks…

Please let me know of fake antivirus website?
I want to test my antivirus if it can block the fake AV website too or not. I have AVG internet
security 2012. It claims it can block malicious website from loading. So I just want to test if it
can. I actually want a list of infected websites.

admin answers:

It isn’t necessary to do that. Security software manufacturers spend millions developing
security software to block all forms of malware. Going to s specific site that trys to give you an
infection will only tell you how your security software can cope with that single threat. You would
have to test thousands of examples to get a good idea of how your installed security software is
performing.
AV Test Labs test all security software against thousands of different of known “live” malware
as well as using “heuristics” technology to try and block new malware that is being created
every day.

Even top UK tech mag PC Advisor don’t run their own testing labs when they do their annual
roundup of latest security software and how effective each tested suite is. The let AV Test.org
carry out the tests as it only has the capability of testing for thousands of different security
threats.
What you want to do is unnecessary and will achieve nothing.

You don’t seem to understand exactly how security software works. Doing what you want to do

                                                                                                6/7
will achieve nothing [apart from maybe infecting your system] If you want to know how well your
chosen security software performs then install it, and use it. If you get malware infections then it
isn’t working well, If you have a clean system then its working well!!
