Google's Chrome 62 introduces "Not Secure Labels" for websites that do not have HTTPS, displaying "Not Secure" in red on the URL bar to warn users that the site is not encrypted. This new feature is designed to benefit users by improving security when entering sensitive information on non-HTTPS websites, as it warns of the real threat of personal data being at risk without encryption. The labels have been displayed since January 2017 and clicking the warning icon explains the non-secure connection.
