The Elevator Pitch
Imaginethatyoumeet a person in an elevator. He is on his way to the 4th floor, and youaregoingto a meeting on the 5th floor. He asks you”…and whoareyouthen?” He may be a potential customer– ormaybe the investor, thatyourcompanyneeds so badly.  You have lessthan a minuteto convincehim, thatyoushouldmeetagain to talk further – and to exchange business cards.
Elevator pitch for customers What is the customers problem? How is it solved today? What will the customer have to change to use your product? What is the value or gain of using your product?
Rememberthatevil forces in the customersorganizationwillalways fight againstchange.  You must be 2 x faster  2 x better 2 x cheaper than the known alternatives.
The effective elevator pitch Convinces the other person to take a meeting Encourages the listener to tell it to others Shows enthusiasm and seriousity Combines sales and market research Takes max. 1-2 minutes
Elevator pitch for investors Convinces that there is a problem to be solved. that there is money to be earned. that you have a customer – or that you know who it will be. that there is something very special about the idea.
