The document discusses the IKS RESTful Semantic Engine, which adds semantic capabilities to existing content management systems (CMS) through a RESTful interface. It can lift semantics from content, assist with query building, and find similarities and correlations. The engine framework is implemented along with a dummy RESTful interface. Future work includes developing semantic plugins and integrating with industrial and research partners in the IKS Consortium. The goal is to add semantics without unnecessary complexity through a simple interface that can register content, get/update semantic views, and execute queries.
