4. • Discussed how Rescue Coordinators locate rescues and
explained the process.
• Questions/Concerns/Issues
o Question: Vicky Ruiz Johnson; what is a foster suppose to do in an
emergency medical situation.
• Added to document: In the event of a medical emergency and dog needs
immediate attention, foster parent can take the dog to the vet first and then
contact Foster Coordinator or Board Member.
o Question: Vicky Ruiz Johnson; Concerns about Mike Kordusky being
added to the board when Eva Kordusky is already a board member.
• Response from C. Capuano; Mike adds a tremendous amount
of experience and knowledge to the team. Mike and Eva
combined have more experience in rescue than any other
member of BARC. At this time Mike’s leadership and
experience will be a tremendous asset to BARC and the marital
relationship should not interfere with what is in the best
interest of BARC. In addition, it has been mentioned that
BARC Board Members should maybe be BARC residents. In
response, Sherry Cooke and Brenda Hager both resided in
Boone County most of their lives and know firsthand the
problems and issues at hand. Where someone lives does not
determine their dedication to the cause or to Boone County
Animals.
