What have you learnt about
technologies from the process
of constructing this product?

2. Camera
• The camera which was used for our media
product was the “CANON EOS 600D”
• It is an 18.0 mega pixel digital single reflex
camera
• it has several modes: film-mode and various
photography-modes

3. Camera
• We used this camera to film our entire sequence
• The high resolution enabled us to cerate a very
good quality film
• as my aunt and my mother are photographers I
was familiar with DSLR cameras and was able to
work out how the camera works quiet quickly
• After every filming session we had to take the
lens of to fit it in the bag so we learnt how to take
care and responsibility for such an expensive
piece of equipment

4. Tripod and lights
• The tripod we used was from manfrotto and
very easy to use
• However it did not have a joystick for pan
shots
• And it was very hard to attach the camera to
the tripod

5. Microphone
• The microphone we used was the
• It was an easy piece of equipment and very
handy
• As I had never filmed with a microphone
before I learnt a lot about lip syncing and the
settings you have to apply to the microphone
in various situations

6. Software
• We used various software including YouTube,
GarageBand, Final Cut Express and Wix
• each one had many challenges for example in
final cut express we had to render every single
frame, transition and effect as well as the
audio which meant 3-5 minutes per frame
• By using all these different software I learnt a
lot about how they work and their advantages
and disadvantages
