Two young Poles (Fiann Paul and Anna Leoniak) came to Iceland, not to earn money like 30 thousand other immigrants, but to do a great photographic project. They are architects by profession. They come from Suwałki in northeastern Poland. She - Anna Leoniak decided to pursue her profession. He - Fiann Paul focuses on photography, on exploring the world (Mexico, India, Greenland) and on the first steps of his own acting career in Hollywood.
Fiann Paul is an architect and teacher by education, a photographer by passion and profession. He lives and works mainly in the North Atlantic countries: Greenland, Iceland and Faroe Islands, where he has had several exhibitions. His work is characterised by Non-commercial and uncompromising character. His talent is appreciated by the world's biggest photo agencies. Fiann Paul also has acting experience - he has already appeared in one American feature film. He has also received further proposals for roles. He has just published his first book.
Anna Leoniak is an architect by education and a photographer by passion. She settled in Reykjavik 4 years ago and started working in an architectural office.
Together with Fiann Paul, she created the DIALOG project, which was the biggest event in the field of visual arts during Reykjavik Arts Festival 2008. She also became a co-main character in the film on this subject. The aim of her work is to create beauty that inspires people to live happily and harmoniously.
2. From Friday, 14th January 2011 DIALOG will be screened on a regular basis at
KinoLAB in Warsaw. In this way we will inaugurate a new cycle: PREMIERA IN
KINO.LAB.
The film shows complicated human relationships, life choices and striving for a set
goal. It presents different levels of seeking dialogue.
DIALOG is free from violence and pathology, which clearly distinguishes it from
contemporary documentaries. It shows the bright side of life, taking viewers on a
journey to the world of childhood and encouraging them to search for their inner
child.
The film was created in Iceland while working on a photography project for the
Reykjavik Arts Festival. Anna Leoniak and Fiann Paul travelled all over the island to
photograph children from 3 to 6 years old. Their faces, forming an architectural
installation, covered the facade of a building in the centre of Reykjavik and stayed
there for many months.
3. A fresh look at Icelandic realities and Nordic mentality is what local productions don't
focus on.
So far DIALOG has been shown in cinemas in Iceland, Norway, Canada and Latvia and
in Poland in Gdynia (Polish Film Festival), Suwalki, Poznan, Warsaw (special
screenings, Art of the Document) and Lodz (Nordand Art Festival). There are plans for
an American premiere of the film. DIALOG is an independent production of Icebreaker
Films, co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. Both he and the film's protagonists -
Anna Leoniak and Fiann Paul - grew up in Suwałki.

game whenever we want and we can always start again. All we have to do is choose
what interests us most.

-To be independent is to do only what depends only on you, and only in a way
that depends on you, even if it seems impossible to others.
Director
Cezary Iber - traveler, adventurer and seeker of life truth, and in the
meantime director, screenwriter and actor. After making several short films
(i.a. 'Wherever I Am', 'Exactly There') and a few films for TVP he decided to

Currently, he is working on his own feature film debut.
As an actor he has appeared in several plays, feature films and most popular

-Regardless of the trends, we tried to make a film that lets you catch your
breath and after which you leave the cinema in a happy mood, because this is
not a place to torture yourself. I invite you on a journey through Iceland, in
search of the inner child.

- An independent film broadens our knowledge of the world because it goes
beyond the traditional framework. It presents an original point of view, because
it is not made to order. It allows us to go where it is worth going, because an
independent film cannot be put up a dam or a barrier. Reality is our point of
reference, not someone else's idea of it.
