4. Chapter-01, Scope of Work
Education & Electricity
01. Work Education is views as purposive and meaningful
manual work organized as integer part of the learning process,
resulting into goods or services useful to the communication
competencies to be developed in this field should include
knowledge, understanding, skill & values through need based
life activities.
Work Education help the pupils to:-
a)Develop respect of manual work & regards for the manual
workers.
b)Develop awareness of socio-economic problems of society.
c)Appreciate the utility of product work & service to the
community etc.
5. 2.Electricity
Rate of flow of electrons from a conductor is known as
electric current. Unit of electric current is Ampere(A).
As we know that electrons are having negative charge.
Therefore they move from negative to positive.
The direction of electric current is just opposite to the flow
of electrons. It means electric current flow from positive to
negative. There are two types of electric current:
a)Direct current(DC)
b)Alternating current(AC)
6. a) Direct current
DC:
Graphical representation of
DC:-
If value of current is not
changed with time, then this
type of current is known as
Direct current which is
denoted by DC.
7. b) Alternating current
AC:
Graphical representation of
AC:-
The current whose value is
changed with time, then this
type of current is known as
Alternating current. It is
denoted by AC. Unit of
current is Ampere(A).
