3. Stitch Class - 100
Stitch class-100 is named as Chain stitch. The stitches in Class-100 are produced by one or
more needle threads. The Stitching is done in interloping method. In chain stitch, one needle
thread is passed through the fabric, form needle loop and is secured by the next loop
formed by the same thread. The difference from lock stitch- chain stitch is elastic and thicker
than lock stitch.

(Lock Stitch)
Stitch Class-300 is named as Lock Stitch. Two or more groups of thread is used to produce
lock stitch. This class of stich follow the interlacing process for stitching . The parts of
threats produce stitch jointly. One part of thread passes through the fabric which is secured
by the 2nd part of thread. The 1st part is called as needle thread & the 2nd one is bobbin
thread. Lock stitch is widely used in garments manufacturing because it has enough
strength and same appearance on the both side of the fabric.
