2. Remove Weeds
Lawns weeds grow as either
seed heads or flowers and there
are a wide variety of types that
are common in lawns. To remove
it, the easiest option to pull out
the whole weed, roots included.
You can do this by hands or
using a tool, but if it’s in a large
quantity try spraying the weeds
directly.

3. Improve Drainage
Lawns with poor drainage often
become waterlogged for hours or
even days. This can lead to other
complications for your lawns
health if the drainage is not
improved.

water build up are the soils ability
to absorb the water and the
landscaping of the garden.

4. Mowing The Lawn
Pruning of lawn grass i.e. mowing is another important operation. The
frequency of mowing is determined by the amount of growth and will
vary from season to season. But grass should not be allowed to grow
more than 5-6 cm in length during any season. You need to obtain a
good machine which will cut evenly at the correct height.

6. Top Dressing a Lawn
After scraping and raking,
compost consisting of good
garden soil, coarse sand and
cow manure in the proportion
of 1: 2: 1 is spread over the
lawn in depth of 3-5 cm. To
cover such depth a 100 kg of
compost per 100 sq. m. will be
needed. This should be added
right before the onset of
monsoon.
