2. Valstat®
AC Sta c Eliminators
Valstat ac ve AC sta c charge elimina ng bars are shock less sta c®
discharge bars, designed for neutralising electrosta c charges from the
moving surfaces. Electrodes provided along the ac ve length of the bar
generate ions of both the polari es, ensuring that posi ve and nega ve
charges are removed from the target.
Valstat AC sta c eliminators are powered by HV AC power sources.®
Together they provide compact, sturdy and reliable means for removal
of electrosta c charges in many industrial applica ons. ATEX cer fied
and CE approved models are available.
DC Sta c Eliminators
Valstat range of DC sta c charge elimina ng bars are shock less®
sta c discharge bars, designed for neutralising electrosta c charges
from the moving and sta onery objects at higher speeds over a
longer range. Electrodes provided along the ac ve length of the bar
in two rows. One row generates posi ve ions and the other row
generates nega ve ions. This ensures that charges of either polarity
are effec vely removed from the charged target.

form a compact, sturdy and reliable tool for removal of sta c
charges in many industrial applica ons.

Ionising air nozzles and air guns
Valstat ionising air nozzles sta c eliminator has an electrode®
posi oned in the air flow path to convert ordinary compressed air into
ionised air. The result is an ionising air spray that effec vely
neutralises electrosta c charges and removes dust, debris and
contaminants from the target.
The Valstat ionising air gun is a combina on of an air gun and a®
Valstat ionising air nozzle. It is an ideal tool for dust and dirt removal®
from products prior to surface finish, pain ng, etc.,

Sta c Eliminators and Sta c Generators
Valstat an sta c discharge touch pads are used for®
discharging sta c charges equivalent to 3000 volts from
human beings to eliminate shocks and discomforts, for
protec ng your electronic equipment or to avoid sparks
that can lead to poten ally hazardous situa ons.
Valstat Passive sta c discharge brushes are made of®
controlled resis vity fibres and very so and extremely
durable. They work very well when posi oned in close

Valstat air based static eliminators are available
in a variety of options – table top ionisers,
ionising blowers, ionising nozzles and ionising
nozzles. These air assisted static eliminators
provide a blast of air to effectively remove static
charges from distant objects. Some models also
offer the option of blow-off cleaning.
Valstat sta c charging electrodes with HV charging®
generator are useful to enhance produc on by crea ng a
temporary bond/a rac on between two materials, one
of which is insulator. Point sta c chargers are suitable for
localised charging applica ons like edge pinning, in
mould labelling while charging bars are used for linear

meter which is a portable unit for on-the-spot measurement at various locations
(ii) a simple online static charge monitor, which helps the operator keep a close eye

What Is Sta c Electricity?
Sta c is a mo onless electric charge that develops on the
surface of non-conductors and ungrounded conductors.
When two materials come in contact and separate,
electrons move from one to the other. Fric on and change
in temperature also create sta c. Sta c electricity is
therefore a display of posi ve (+) and nega ve (-) charges.
When a moving film comes in contact with a rubber, steel
or aluminium roller and separates from it, charges get
created on both the film and the roller. Since plas c, paper
and rubber rollers are non-conduc ve, the charges are
retained. In metals, which are conduc ve, electrons flows
to ground if they are earthed.
The polarity of the sta c charge depends on the “tribo-
electric series” list. When one material rubs against
another, which one becomes posi ve and which one
becomes nega ve depends on their rela ve ability to retain
or release electrons. Under ideal condi ons, the material
listed higher in tribo-electric series releases electrons and
becomes posi vely charged.
The magnitude of the sta c charge depends on the
material, applied forces, separa on rate, temperature,
rela ve humidity, etc.,
