4. DISTANT VN
It Must be at least 6/9 in each eye separately & 6/6
using both eyes together with or without correction.
If you need correction Ref.error must not exceed
+5.00 diopters of longsight or -6.00 diopters of short
sight
Astigmatism must not exceed +/-2.00 diopters.The
difference in correction b/w each eye more than
2.00 diopters.
5. NEAR VN
On the standard near vision eye chart must be able
to read N5 print b/w 30 and 50 cm & the N14 print
at 100 cm,with or without correction
6. CONTACT LENS
If you wear CL,must bring a report from an
optometrist ,which includes following
* CL specification & corrected VA
* Confirmation that you have worn your CL
constantly and successfully for over 8 hours a day
over a period of at least 1 month.
7. REFRACTIVE SURGERY
Not recommend refractive surgery to gain medical
certificate to fly
In condition of surgery will be considered 3 months
after a LASIK procedure,(provided assessment
including refraction has been carried out at 2
months post-operatively).Certification can be
considered 6 months after LASEK.
CERTIFICATION
*The pre-operative refraction shouldn’t have been
more than +5.00 to -6.00 Dsph
* An assessment by an eye specialist will be
required,stability of refraction must be achived.
8. COLOUR VISION
Tested for colour vision with Ishihara test plates .
If you fail these you will need to pass an approved
LANTERN TEST(a series of colored lights that you
must identify correctly)
