This document provides a business plan for a website called "dailybazar4u.com" that will provide daily price updates of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and raw food items from major shopping stores in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The website aims to help busy professionals easily find the best prices. It will gather price information daily from stores and display updates. Initially the site will focus on major Dhaka stores, and hopes to partner with them. It will generate revenue from user subscriptions and advertisements. The plan outlines target markets, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to build awareness including social media and partnerships with stores.

2. 1.The Business Plan:
Almost every day the prices of all daily usable or mostly known as Fast Moving Consumer
Goods (FMCG) & prices of food items are fluctuating in a alarming rate which has became one
of the major problems for the people all of our country. It has created a big mess already. People
who don’t visits the local markets daily, don’t have much time to know about the daily changes
in prices of FMCG & specially food items, they are the worst sufferers of this problem. Usually
professional people don’t get much time to know about the fluctuation of prices of these products
daily as they are very much busy with their official matters. So it became almost impossible for
them to get those goods & services at a price that will perfectly suite them. Most of the time they
end up with paying much higher for the product for lack of information about the prices. For this
reason, I have decided to launch a new website named ”dailybazar4u.com” that will provide
daily as well as weekly price updates of all kinds of FMCG & raw food items like rice, meat. fish
as well as vegetables to the customers primarily from mega shopping stores like
MEENABAZAR,AGORA in Dhaka city only. It will help those working people a lot. Simply
they can log into this site & get all the price updated of the products that they use daily. They
can also view many advertisements & promotional offers of these popular stalls .It will definitely
lower their hazards & they can get the best products at the best prices. The more people will visit
the site, the more profit will generate which is my ultimate objective.
3. 2.Starting of the business:
First I will open a website by hiring skilled website developers who have vast experience in this
area. I have already selected a name for it. But to monitor its every day activity, initially I will
recruit few young people who are expert in this sector. I will contact with some of the biggest
FMCG companies like SQUARE GROUP, ORION GROUP, BEXIMCO, ACI as well as other
companies who does online marketing & will put their advertisements in my website. For this
reason, every time a person will visit my website, these big companies will pay me few money as
their adds will be promoted by my site. So it will be a big challenge for me to gain attraction of
my customers at the first place.
After that i will hire some people who will gather all kinds information of prices of all kinds of
daily useable goods & raw food items from big shopping stores all over Dhaka city every day.
They will monitor all kinds of fluctuation in prices of FMCG & raw food items & then directly
inform them to another group who will gather, organize & then put them into my website where
people can view it easily.
I know that prices of these products varies from one place to another. In fact it will be very
difficult to monitor them everywhere in Dhaka daily. For this reason I will try to make profitable
deal with selected mega shopping stores like MEENABAZAR,AGORA,NONDON so that they
can provide us all kinds of information about the changes of goods prices without any objections
& also promote my site to their customers who visit their stores every day. It will be very
profitable for my website.
4. 3.Selling strategies:
I will sell the subscription of my website directly to my customers via online. Customers can pay
their monthly or yearly fees via Bikaash, DBBL Nexus, Visa Card, Master Cards etc. As my
target customers are those professionals who get less time to shop, I thought selling of the
premium membership via online to my customers can be best selling strategy for me as most of
them owns a debit card & prefers to shop online.
4.Target Market:
Demographic Segmentation:
o Ages: Ten & above
o Gender: Both male & female
o Income level: 10,000 per month or above
o Occupation: All working people, specially professionals who don’t get much time to
shop daily.
Geographic Segmentation:
Anyone can visit the site from anywhere in Bangladesh. But initially I have chosen Dhaka city as
this is the capital of Bangladesh. So initially our customers will get price updates of many
popular shopping stalls of Dhaka city only from anywhere in Bangladesh. At the beginning it
won’t be possible to cover the entire city. But after few years of launching, I will try to cover all
parts of Dhaka as well as other major districts like Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi. Then all users
will get all kinds of price updates from different markets of these cities also.
5. 5.Pricing Strategies:
For the first three month from my website’s initial launch, I won’t charge any amount from the
visitors as in this period my main objective will be to create more & more awareness of this site .
I want my customers to know about all the benefits & functions of my site. So for the first three
month, all visitors will get all benefits from my site without any payment. If I get expected
results in these first three months,500 Taka will be charged to a registered user per month who
will get daily updates from my website from the starting of the 4th month. These paid users will
also get updates in their cell phones & in their e-mail address Besides yearly packages will be
offered at 5000 Taka for each subscriber. There won’t be any charges for the unregistered or free
users from that period. I think that after all the expenses, these pricing strategy will make profits
for me as initially I don’t have to spend much on my website. Anyways there are no competition
of my site as similar kind of website is not available in our country currently. But if it occurs in
future, I will try to change the subscription fees of my website for my customers that will be
profitable for me..
6.Promotions/Advertisements:
Initially I will try to make advertisements of my website by hiring add making agencies who are
capable of producing standard quality advertisements. To promote this site, I think it will be best
for me to promote in social networking sites specially in FACEBOOK. It is getting heavy
popularity in our country. It will definitely attract more customers as people aged from 10 are
very much addicted with this site. They visit it almost every day & spend a huge amount of time
here. So I can’t find a better place to introduce my site to my target customers other than
6. FACEBOOK. Besides some we have got some sites they sells good online. We can put our adds
there also to catch more attraction. But after some period, I will also promote it via satellite
channels as still people in Bangladesh mostly rely on TV adds that effects their purchasing
behavior. I think it will be very effective as well.
Besides i will make large bill boards & put it in front of grocery markets in Dhaka city. Also
there will be adds in placards inside stores like AGORA,MEENA BAZAR etc to create more
awareness of my website. As these big shopping stores will be our partners, I will provide special
offers for the customers who visit these stores every day. They will get special discounts on
subscription charges for my website.
7.Conclusion:
For this short project, I have tried to make a simple business plan of an innovative service of
delivering daily price updates of FMCG & raw food items to the customers via online by
opening a new website named ”dailybazar4u.com” which has never been done before in our
country. I thought that my website would be a great place where all kinds working people
specially professionals can get the maximum benefits. These people lead a very busy life. For
this reason they don’t get a chance to shop daily. So for lack of knowledge about the products
prices as well as about the market, most of the time they end up with paying much higher than
the products actual price. They get cheated most of the time. So from my site, these people can
get all kinds of price updates of products from most popular mega stores like MEENA BAZAR
which they use daily specially food items. These food item’s prices fluctuates very fast in our
country which is a threat for poor, middle or even for upper middle class people. So to minimize
their hazards, I have decided to propose this unique service from my website.
7. Initially my customers will get all kinds of price updates from all mega shopping stores of Dhaka
city in my website. After launching of my site, these people don’t have to visit all the shopping
stores in person. In fact they don’t have to visit all shopping stores websites separately as they
can get all the price updates of those stores in my site. They will get everything in one place.
Besides They will see the price updates of goods of different shopping stores separately so that
they can see the difference in prices from one store to another. If the price of one good or service
goes up, they will see it from the chart that will be provided with it & vice versa. It will
definitely effect their purchasing behaviors. I will try to make a deal with some mega stores who
will provide all kinds price related information to me in a daily basis. I hope this unique online
service will see the joys of success in near future.
