Inspiring Entrepreneurs: From Battlefield to Business Mark
                                   Palmer


                                   Mark Palmer spent 3 years as marketing manager for Burger King before becoming Marketing
                                   Director of Green & Blacks organic chocolate in 2001. During Marks tenure sales have risen
                                   from £4m to £65m. In 2005, Green & Blacks was acquired by Cadbury Plc and Mark now
                                   remains with the company in a part time capacity as Global Brand Director, overseeing the roll
                                   out of the brand to new markets including the US, Canada and Australia. In 2005, the marketing
                                   society voted Mark as their Marketer of the year and in 2006 Green & Blacks received the
                                   prestigious Grand Prix award for marketing excellence. Green & Blacks is widely acknowledged
                                   as one of the most entrepreneurial business success stories of recent years and has just been
                                   voted the UKs coolest food brand by the Superbrands panel for the third year running.
