Electro Discharge Machining on HSS M3 Alloy Steel

Objective: -This research paper is to determine Material Removal Rate and Tool Wear Rate of HSS M3
Alloy steel. The machining parameters selected for experiments were Peak current,Pulse-On-Time and
Duty Cycle. The tool electrode selected for Machining was Graphite. A L9 orthogonal array was created
for experiments based on taguchi method.

Objective:- To understand the industrial environment on steel plant and learn the
manufacturing process in large scale.
Description:- In SAIL Bhilai, I did 30 days industrial training. In training period’s first
2week I was appointed on Ore Handling Department. Here got the knowledge about iron ore,
its hand ling shipping and resource of iron ore. Another next 2 Week I was appointed on Plate
Making Department. Here I got the knowledge about process of heat treatment on raw iron
like bloom and billet, its testing and shipping. We also got the chance to see the blast furnace
and railway track making department
Organization; - Sunjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant Bersinghpur June 2011(15 days)
Objective:- To get the knowledge about power generation sector and achieve the information
about thermal plant.
Description:- In power plant, I did 15 days training and I am appointed on Boiler
Maintenance Department. On there I got the knowledge about boiler, turbine, and furnace and
Electricity generation capacity.
