Rashtrapati Bhawan: SMARTGRAM Initiatives
• SCGJ has actively participated in SMARTGRAM initiatives which were taken up in the 5
Villages of Haryana adopted by Hon’ble President of India.
• Several RE interventions and skill programs were implemented, along with CSR support
from IREDA. This intervention is a simultaneous intervention of RE, skill development of
local people.
• SCGJ has been selected by Rashtrapati Bhawan
to expand this effort to another 45 villages in
Haryana (with CSR support from REC).
• It is planned that in the next phase, 50 more
villages will be covered, totaling 100 villages
(over 30,000 households).

Rashtrapati Bhawan: SMARTGRAM Initiatives
• Skill Council for Green Jobs was felicitated by Hon’ble President of India, Shri Pranab
Mukherjee, for successful implementation of SMARTGRAM initiatives; and
• SCGJ has been selected as Project Implementation Agency for implementation of
Installation of 30 Solar PV Power Plants in the 5 villages.
