• 50% of the A2 course
• 100 marks = 60 practical, 40 written
• Interim deadlines for all written and practical
parts must be met
• All FINAL work must be submitted between
Dec 12th and 16th
3. BRIEF ONE:
• MAIN PRODUCT
Produce the trailer for a new soap opera,
between 60 and 90 seconds in length
• ANCILLARIES
1. A billboard poster for the soap
2. The front cover for an original TV listings
magazine, with your soap stars as the main
feature
4. BRIEF TWO:*
• MAIN PRODUCT
Produce a music video for an original song and
artist, between 3 and 5 minutes in length
• ANCILLARIES
1. A full page magazine advert for the song
and artist
2. A four- panel CD case for the song and
artist, featuring original artwork and
photography
*you should have spoken to your tutor before summer if you want to attempt this
brief
5. • You will be working in groups of no more than
SIX, sharing the roles of:
– Camera operators
– Actors
– Props, Costume, Make up and Mise en Scene
– Lighting and Sound
– Director
– Continuity
• You are all expected to perform each role.
• You will plan and film as a group, but each produce your
own edit
• You can produce ancillaries together, but you must be
able to provide evidence of the work you have done to
the board
6. Setting up your blog
• You will be submitting your work this year via blog. Using
the booklet from your tutor, build a blog that you can use
throughout your coursework.
• You will use your blog to log and plan ideas, embed links
and PowerPoints, evaluate your work and real media
examples
• You tutor will provide feedback in the comments on your
entries and you must provide each other with constructive,
positive audience feedback for your evaluations
