1. This is my logo I have created for my
magazine, it is quite similar to other
magaizne titles in the same genre of
music magazines to mine which are
displayed on the right.
I have called it CMW because it stands
for chart music weekly, which I think is
a catchy name

2. The magazine on the left is my magazine and on the right is a real magazine. The
images are both in the centre of the magazine and both of the people in the images
are dressed in fashionable wear. They are young aswell so suite who the magazine is
aimed at. Both the title on the magazines are underneath the head of the images
which helps draw attention to the magazine.

3. With the clothes which the people in my magazine are wearing, they are quite
fashionable, the boy has a more plain t-shirt on but it is quite similar to the
middle boys top in the image in the real magazine, sometimes simple for boys
is fashionable. The clothing are quite similar to the ones in the real top of the
pops mag. There isnt any props used in my magazine but in the top of the
pops magazine they have guitars.

4. I have got 3 different covers from the Top of the Pops magazine which are similar to
mine in the way it is layed out and also the type of people in it. They are all of a
young age and the images are all in the centre of the mag. They have all kind of the
same poses and facial expressions, which I think represents the type of people in
the mag and also the type of mag.

5. The font style I used for my title is called “groovalious tweak” which I
downloaded off dafonts.com . After I had download the font I edited it in
photoshop, I made the fill of the text glittery like the real magazine title
, then made the stars white to give it a better look.
I think it looks like a title which represents my target audience but also I
tried to make it similar to the real magazine one so it definatly is for the
genre of mag I am going for

6. I think the written content in my
magazine and other magazines are the
same, they both are interview style and
have the questions in one colour and
answers in another. The only thing with
the real magazine is there is a big quote
in the middle of the text my quote is as
a heading separate from the text.

7. I think it suggest the music genre by the
images on the front cover, they are
young and hip and represent the type of
people who sing chart music/pop music.
They way they dress and look nice and
fashionable, not like rock people who
wear black and tend to have more plain
serious poses. Also they type of things
on the front of the magazine suite the
people who like the chart music/pop
music genre like one direction are a big
boyband on the pop and chart music
scene.

8. The layout of both the
magazines are quite similar
they are both fully packed
with various headings,
images, shapes and text.
The main image is in the
middle then the big heading is
underneath that image.
All the other texts and side
headings are based around
this image , they centre
around it and fill in the gaps,
trying not to leave a lot of
dead space.

9. My contents page is very similar to the top of the
pops one, I liked the way it was layed out and tried
to re create this as it gives the teenage feel, it looks
nice and hip and fits in with the genre of my
magizine
