1) Students are assigned a group project to create a 5-minute timeline video on topics related to religion, food, fashion, home, beliefs, or economy from prehistoric times to present.
2) Individually, students must create a 4-minute personal timeline video covering their family's past, present, and their future in 10 years related to culture, traditions, education, and life events.
3) Videos are to be submitted on CDs with proper labeling in two folders for group and individual work by specified due dates for grading. Late submissions will result in reduced marks.

This interpretation of family history fits squarely with the view that all family history is contextual, i.e., it cannot be
viewed in isolation or separated from its historical framework. At its root, genealogy satisfies basic human
curiosity. It summarizes the questions of the past, the present and a look of what will shape the future.
Objectives
1. To introduce the Western and Eastern culture and civilization through an overview of archeological
discoveries, ancient monuments, artworks, philosophy and achievement of great leaders from
prehistoric to present.
2. To show basic skills on enquiry, investigation, application and presentation of relevant information.
Learning Outcomes
1. Able to describe the historical development of human civilization.
2. Able to develop skills of data gathering.
Tasks
In a group of 6 or 7 , produce a
5 minutes Timeline (Graphical Calendar and Thematic) in video format based on the theme
assigned to you. [ Theme : Religion, Food, Fashion, Home, Beliefs and Economy]
1. Video should consist of Text (short summary) and Images (Illustration, photo, diagram or etc) that
best represent the topic discussed. Progress research can be presented using illustrations (sketch,
photo, diagram or chart, etc) and text (short summary) during tutorial class.
2. 2. In your research, you should highlight the any issues relating to geographical, economy, politics,
culture, characteristics and achievement
Individually, you are to produce a
4 minutes timeline video of your own.
1. In your research, you should highlight and investigate issues relating to culture and traditions,
education, fashion, life event, transformative and values.
2. Start by researching from the PAST of your family tree. This includes key points such as migration
(geographical), economy, achievements and culture.
3. Present should comprise of events that closely related to you now.
4. Future is where you see yourself in at least 10 years.
5. Progress research can be presented using illustrations (sketch, photo, diagram or chart, etc) and text
(short summary) during tutorial class.
