The story is about a couple who find a small boy in their garden and name him Tom Thumb. Tom helps two men find gold but they trick him and leave him trapped in a house. Tom escapes and returns home with a gold coin. He tells the king about the two men, who punishes them for stealing the king's gold. Tom is reunited with his happy parents.
