2. Awkward
0 The first group was consisted of Valerius, Edita (pupils of C "grade) and
Emma (newcomer in Piraeus University Economics Department). Their
idea - with the characteristic title Awkward - concerns a mobile
application that will "save" its users from awkward or even dangerous
situations – like an indifferent and boring appointment - offering
escapism excuses, discussion topics, and even false buttons of self-call or
'panic' buttons notifying their loved ones. At the end of the Start Up
Weekend Athens Youth they had been emerged as the team with the
most innovative idea.
3. StudInnov
0 The second group was formed by Spyros, Marialena (pupils of B "grade) and Spiros, Paul
(Informatics and Mathematics students at the University of Athens respectively). The idea
that they worked on is called StudInnov and concerns a platform that connects pupils and
college students with skills and ideas to cooperate with companies that want to "hatch" or
to support their projects. In the end of the night, they took the prize for best presentation.
0 The original form of the idea came from the student Spyros during last year's
participation in the virtual enterprise contest Junior Achievement, a concept of an eco-
lighting bicycle mechanism, which essentially creates a bright bikeway.
4. E-ygeia
0 E-ygeia is the idea of an application combined with a special
bracelet which collects many medical information about his user.
More specifically, this innovation can inform doctors, nurses, even
passengers in case of emergency. The e-ygeia was awarded as the
best business model but it is also good to know that according to
the team, their participation had as purpose to learn to collaborate
and not to just make an application.

5. Active Citizen
0 Active Citizen is also an application, which is designed by the
numbered team of the Athens Youth. This application has the aim to
give to citizens the ability of informing the local authorities, when
there is a failure or any problem, so that that it will be fixed. This
startup was awarded as the idea with the biggest social impact.
