Movie Marathon Research Paper
It was mostly sunny, warm summer day around noon when my 9 friends and I decided to do a
movie marathon. We, stupidly, decided to watch all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies
in order of the movie timeline. Did I mention that they were all the extended editions? We
gathered the supplies that would seem to last a lifetime for most people, but we are teens and we
have a tendency to eat a great amount of food. Once we put the first disk in, we didn't know what
we were getting into. Once the first 3 Hobbit movies had been concluded, we ran out of provisions.
It was around midnight. Only about half of us were still awake. It took us 10 minutes to wake up
everyone and collect more supplies. After the first Lord of the Rings movie, which

Descriptive Essay About A Movie
I had just gotten off work and I was running around frantically trying to find the perfect outfit for a
movie date, I didn't want to be too dressed up, but also not in a t–shirt and shorts, like I usually am.
My parents wouldn't let me leave until they got to meet Garrett, the guy who was taking me out
to the movies. I was super nervous they weren't going to like him because of his interests. So I
send Garrett a text saying that my parents wanted him to come into the house so they could meet
him. My dad is very blunt and doesn't know how to control himself sometimes, but I asked him to
be nice and if he had any comments to keep them to himself, and thankfully, he did, but he snuck
in "what? Does he need a pair of your jeans?" right before Garrett walked through the front door.
Garrett is a guy who wears skinny jeans everyday, literally, everyday and he has curly shaggy hair,
which I think suits him perfectly.
It was completely silent majority of the car ride, besides the music playing the background. I think
it would have been a little less awkward if we had the same music tastes, but unfortunately, we did
not. He is into screamo songs, and I'm more into hip/hop and pop. We talked a little here and
there, and finally arrived to the town Union, where we would be seeing the movie. We got there
super early, like almost an hour early, so we looked up back roads to drive on to waste our time.
While we drove around waiting on our movie, we got to talk about ourselves. I would ask

My dad and I are both huge movie nerds. We both love watching them and talking about them.
Although we like some similar and some different types of movies, we like to watch and discuss
them together.
I look for many different things when I watch a movie. The Biggest thing I look for is plot. I want
the plot to make sense and to flow well. I hate when movies have a lot of unexplained plot holes, it
makes the movie hard to watch. I think the best movies have well thought out plots. The plot should
make the person watching the movie interested in watching until the end.
Another thing I look for in movies is actors who are good at acting. In my opinion, I believe that a
bad actor can ruin the whole movie. Sometimes it can

Textual Analysis Of A Movie
With the amount of movies being turned out these days, the average person has many things to
consider when deciding what movies to watch. From genre to special effects, most people must try
and decide if the movie will be worth the money spent for the actual movie going experience.
When the general public can watch movies in the comfort of their own home, often for half the
price, they must consider if the theater experience will add to the movie they want to see. Would it
be wiser to just wait for some free version online? When considering what movie to watch, I take this
and more into account. Immediately in movies, I look at the genre. As the most basic way of
separating movies, people already know what genres they enjoy the most. Genres such as Fantasy,
Action, Adventure, Comedy, and Sci–fi are more preferable to me. If the movie fits in one of these
genres, it has already captured my attention and interest. There are always some exceptions, but
good movie experiences have lead me to stay fairly strict to these categories. I linger in these
genres because their storylines intrigue and tend to offer beautiful visuals. After the genre, I look at
the basis, graphics, and actors. I often look for a storyline I already know, such as book inspired

As a whole, I enjoyed the movie. It provided a good balance of action and storyline. The audience
was provided visually pleasing fight scenes without lacking any substance to the storyline. The
story was also sufficiently loyal with the original comic book material. It had a definitive style and
presence that was unique to the movie, while managing to keep the essence of the series. It made
sure to cater to its die–hard comic fans, while appealing to a general audience. For the comic fans,
many "easter eggs" or nods to said comic were provided. But Suicide Squad also makes sure to
adequately introduce the characters for those with no

"The Proposal "Movie Reaction Paper
The Proposal is one of those "Laugh–Out–Loud Funny" movies. Showing the typical boss to
coworker relationship, this movie brings out all the conflicts in everyday life, and shows how two
people who hated each other fell in love. The Proposal also shows the watchers very important keys
to communication. In this movie, there are times of impression management and selective perception,
self–disclosure, assertiveness and compliance gaining, and lots of conflict. The two main characters
in this movie is Sandra Bullock, starring as "Margaret", and Ryan Reynolds, starring as "Andrew".
Margaret is a very professional, yet demanding editor that tends to really intimidate everyone else

Margaret shows a great example of self–disclosure in this movie. Self–disclosure is the sharing of
your own biographical data, personal ideas, and feelings. As Margaret was in the house earlier the
second day, she had noticed that Andrew and his father were in a big fight. Before Margaret fell
asleep that night, she decided to ask Andrew what the issue was between the two of them. Because
Margaret wouldn't tell about him about her tattoo the previous day, Andrew felt uncomfortable
disclosing his information to her, and told her goodnight. Margaret then thought over everything and
decided to provide self–disclosure for Andrew. She began with "I like the psychic network" and her
disclosure grew wider and wider with thoughts and feelings. With Andrew completely quiet the entire
time of herself disclosure, she finally ends it with, "and the bird tattoo–their swallows. I got them
when I was sixteen after my parents died". Andrew was quiet at first, but then opened up to
Margaret more than he had the entire movie. They began singing and laughing and both fell asleep
with smiles on their faces. According to the communication privacy management theory, we all each
have our own rules and guidelines that guide our choices to disclosing our personal information to
others. After living with Andrew and his family for nearly two days, Margaret builds herself up more
to opening up to him. When she then finds out about his own

My Criteria for Film Evaluation Essay
My Criteria for Film Evaluation
There are three major standards through which I decide whether or not I will watch a film:
reputation, and genre. Reputation is inclusive of friends and ratings of the film. Usually my friends
and I have similar tastes and we are aroused or repulsed by the same films. Reputation is a strong
and stable standard for deciding which film to go to, because with such a large population of movie
watchers, major biases don't affect the reputation and ratings are fair and accurate. Also, people are
inclined to give high ratings to movies that touch them or really make them think regardless...show

I have also noticed the exact opposite pattern with people who watch feel good movies. It gives
them motivation to strive for a life such as the ones they have seen, a goal perhaps. Indeed, the
feel good movies may be oppressive in a sense people strive for unrealistic living, something that
may not ever happen, but it is always comparatively better to strive for something and never reach
it, than to never strive at all. That is why I love feel good movies.
I recently watched The Pursuit of Happyness. It was a feel good movie about a man who had
nothing and how even his nothing declined to just himself and his son. His apartment got taken
away, his wife left him, and even after he started to live in a motel, it got taken away also, all
because of a lack of money. He worked hard selling useless pieces of equipment that a very small
population of buyers would want. He walked countless miles to each buyer each day at a potential
shot at buying his merchandise. He made bare minimum and sometimes couldn't give enough food to
his son. But through all the change, one thing stayed constant, the pursuit of happiness. He strove
learning and soon got a job at an extremely and severe

Evaluation of the Movie "42"
Evaluation of the Movie "42" When I first viewed this movie, I already knew some of Jackie
Robinson's history, but I was still moved by this revealing depiction of his life during the years
1945–1947. This true story, which was released April 12, 2013, followed what I had learned about
Jackie and stayed accurate while still being extremely entertaining. Jackie Robinson's number on his
jersey was 42, he wore that number his entire Major League career with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The
movie "42" is a biopic of the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson, when in 1947 Jackie
became the first African–American player to break Major League Baseball's color barrier. The great
directing, acting, and writing made this film enjoyable to watch. This...show more content...
Jackie immediately tells the attendant to stop pumping gas into the team's bus. At which point,
the attendant backs down and lets Jackie use the restroom. That scene helped me to understand
Jackie's distain for discrimination. The next incident of segregation we witness involves Rachel,
when she is surprised to see a "whites only" sign on a women's restroom door at an airport in
Florida. The actress did a fantastic job of showing the shock and disbelief that Rachel expressed
since she was from Pasadena, California and had never been exposed to this type of racial
discrimination.
When I first saw the cast, I was not quite sure what to expect. Two of the three leading roles, were
not household names. I had not seen or heard of the actor playing Jackie Robinson, nor had I
heard of the actress playing his wife Rachel Robinson. Chadwick Boseman did great in his
portrayal of Jackie as was Nicole Beharie playing the role of Rachel. The two of them on screen
together made for a great team. Chadwick was especially talented in his ability to show the
anguish in his facial expressions when he faced insults and injuries. Boseman's performance as a
professional ballplayer, loving husband, and father as well as a man that knows how to restrain
himself when dealing with racism on and off the field reflects his skill as an actor. Nicole Beharie
plays a wife with the "it's us against the world mentality," flawlessly. She seems perfect for the role
of Rachel who is not

Through writing my pitch, I've learnt several things about the film industry. I've realised that a pitch
is the very first thing we need to do before proceeding to any preproduction or production tasks and
that the purpose of a pitch is to attract development finance to pay for the production of the film.
Therefore, a pitch should be marketable and interesting. As pitching is commonly known as "selling
the film", there are several things I need to consider in my pitch so that it can attract the investors
and they would green–light the project. Some of them include the names of actors and actresses to
create star power, a brief plot synopsis, budgeting values, genre and the target audience. I've also
included a similar film to give a...show more content...
The strapline "there's more you need to know" creates a sense of mysterious and curiosity in the
readers. The strapline is coloured in black colour and black signifies mysteriousness and
seriousness. For the title, I've used the font 'Minion Pro' as it is more unisex yet not so common so
that it would be more appealing to older audience unlike the font 'Curlz MT' used in many girly or
teen magazines.
Posters play a very important role in the film industry. Through the production work, which
required me to design and create at least three posters featuring my film, I've learned that the
posters are one of the things needed to make a film successful. This is because they promote the
film before it is released and also when the film is shown in cinemas. Most importantly, a film
needs a good promotion in order to be successful. There are three types of posters: lobby cards,
teaser posters and character posters. Lobby cards are like posters but they are smaller and
collectible. However, they are soon replaced by teaser posters and character posters. A teaser poster
is an early promotional movie poster, containing only a basic image or design without revealing too
much information such as the plot, theme, and characters. They are often used to create sense of
suspense and hype in the audience. In contrast, the character poster features an individual character
from the film and usually it contains the name of the actor/actress,

When one thinks about horror movies a couple, if not one, comes particularly into mind. Exorcist
The Beginning, this demented film sent many to hospitals when it first premiered. Many till this day
name the film as a classic horror film. But, as it is known every beginning must surely have an end.
Influenced by the elder film, came a slightly more revolutionized twist. The newest prequel

Even at first glance the names of the two films differentiate significantly. It can be deterred that
both films will offer a dark and unique way of expressing the director's idea onto the big screen.

Characteristics Of A Good Movie
What makes a good film?
Choosing my top ten favorite films was literally the hardest thing I've ever done. How did I
narrow it down? I thought what movies could I watch for the rest of my life. What makes a good
movie? Well, for one the script has to be good. If the storyline isn't good, but the acting and
effects are good; its still a bad movie. Its like having a slice of pizza that was cooked and dressed
perfectly but the pepperoni and cheese are expired; it doesn't sound to appealing. A good story has
seven elements. Number one being the purpose of the story, whether it be informative, persuasive,
etc. Then there has to be a three dimensional character that changes over time. After a story has
established a point and main character there needs to be a quest, conflict, or task that is out of reach
for them to pursue. Now we need an antagonist that's hell bent on stopping the hero of the story. At
this point, the protagonist is changing for the worst or growing for the better. Finally we come to
big conflict scene were the truth comes out; the big fight scene, or the part that displays the growth
of main character. In my opinion, a movie that displays this well is Enough. The movie Enough is
about a waitress, Slim, that marries a wealthy contractor named Mitch. He seems like the perfect
man who gives her everything she wants; a nice life in the suburbs and a family. Then he starts
abusing her and she takes their kid and flees. The race against time

To Kill A Mockingbird Movie Evaluation
The 1962 drama, To Kill a Mockingbird, stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch and Mary badham
as Scout and was directed by Robert Mulligan. The screenplay was written by Horton Foote and
was based off of the book by Harper Lee. This film was nominated for many awards and won many
too, including Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Art Direction. It
also won Golden Globes for Best Actor, Best Original Score, and Best Film Promoting International
Understanding. To Kill a Mockingbird is set in a small town in Alabama in the 1930's and follows
the life of a young girl, Scout, and her father and brother for three years. Scout and Jem's father

I like that the story is told from the innocent perspective of a six year old. For the most part, this
film is pretty historically accurate, but some is a little exaggerated for the sake of the story. In
real life, Atticus probably wouldn't have defended a black man in that time period, to protect
himself and his children. Going against the word of a white woman would definitely get him
more hate than he received in the film. But, most of the film was accurate to the time and
definitely furthered my understanding of this time period. It is hard to realize how racist and
sexirt people used to be, and it wasn't a big deal because everyone was. Obviously, nowadays our
society in very politically correct so it is hard to imagine what it was like. I think one of the
overall strengths of this movie is the casting, all of the actors are perfect for their roles and really
bring the characters to life. Since I read the book before the movie, I also really appreciate that
the movie stays true to the book and doesn't change too much. I think the only weakness is that the
story isn't always explained very well. Everything that happens with Boo Radley and the kids is a
little bit random and isn't described as well in the movie as it is in the book. But, overall I really
enjoy this movie and would definitely recommend

Filmmaking: The Complex Process Of Making A Film
Making a film takes a very complex process. This is why films sometimes take months and even
years to make. Filmmaking is always broken up into 5 steps. Filmmaking takes a process of the
development of the film, the pre–production, production, the post–production, and distribution. This
is when the production begins to take shape. Ideas for the film are created and the screenplay is
written and edited. During this part of the process financing is planned out and looked at what
can be afforded, what needs to be purchased, or what will be the amount of money of the whole
film in total. During this part of the process the head people in charge make preparations for the
film. For example they hold auditions to know what the cast and film crew to hire, they begin to
build sets for the film, and they begin searching for and choosing the locations for the motion
picture. This part of the process is when the film begins to take its shape. The script is put to action
and it is then recorded during the film shoot. During this process, it is when the director has their
ideas brought to life. While filming, things may be changed such as the dialogue, sets, tiny parts of
the plot, and costumes. Some filmmakers say this is when they come up with more creative ideas.
Many creative decisions are made during this process of filmmaking. The process of the
post–production is when the images of the film, the sounds, and the effects are edited. This process
is done under the film's director's

Movie Theater Experience
Experiencing Film in Theaters Watching movies is probably one of my favorite activities, it
does not matter if the movie good or bad; I just want to watch them. I loved going to the theaters
as a kid because the entire experience was always so exciting, especially since it was the first thing
my mother let me do out on my own. Going to the movies had always been a blessing but as I
have grown I have made an effort to go less often. While the experience is still the same I just
notice just how bad the overall experience can be as well.
Honestly, the best part of watching a movie in theaters is the movie theater experience; for example
the seats, the popcorn, the large screen, the sound system, the people, and the new releases. It is not
just you in your room watching a movie, it is you reacting to the film and to the people around you
around you as well, all the while getting all these over the top elements as well. Movie going takes
a common experience and amplifies it so it feels like you're getting something even greater.
Plus, my favorite part for any film has always been the trailers; the exciting bits and pieces of
coming films thrown together to entice future visits. With fast paced action and cliffhanging details
that are thrown in the 2–3 minute time frame, I am left wanting to come back and see that movie
when it comes out. It is how they reel me in and keep me coming back in regular intervals. I have
also gotten really into staying for the credits as well

Footloose Movie Analysis
Footloose "Tonight I gotta cut loose, footloose, kick off my sunday shoes. Jack, get back, come
on before we crack." (Footloose, Kenny Loggins) For this essay, I chose to watch Footloose made
in 1984 and directed by Herbert Ross and Footloose made in 2011 directed by Craig Brewer. Both
movies centered around the town of Bomont, a secluded town with out of the ordinary beliefs. In
this town, dancing and partying of any sort was strictly against the law and teenagers were
seemingly miserable. There was little to no self expression and even listening to provocative music
or any music too loud, could get you a ticket with a hefty fine. The reason behind the strict rules is
that several years back, five teens from Bomont High School died in a car wreck after they were
drinking and dancing too much. Each of these movies have some things in common, but have more
differences than anything. Some of the main differences are the opening credits of each movie, how
and who Ren arrives to Bomont at the beginning of the movie, the "chicken" races between Ren
and Jeff, and the book burning in town square. In the 1984 version, the movie opens with the song
"Footloose" and the first thing the viewers see is the shoes and feet of many different people
dancing. One of the major things that you notice is the type and style of the shoes such as leg
warmers and socks with heels which tells you what era the movie was made in. As the credits roll
across the screen, the music continues to

Like most modern films this has lots of quick snappy editing from one moment to the next. At the
very start is some good editing where there are pictures on top of pictures with a kissing scene
and scissors all intertwined as one. There is also a lot of cutting between facial expressions and
moving bodies all lapping over each other making the audience confused and inquisitive to know
what is happening. I feel that it is good because you get an insight of what is happening, but the
audience has no real idea what is going on. It is only until you see this screen that Tom Cruise is
working on that you can see what is happening. There is also a lot of cutting in this film from
what Tom Cruise is seeing and what is happening in 'real' time. In the opening clip for example
you have you have the man murdering on screen then you have the quiet family scene where
everything is happening normally. I feel that this quick editing gives the audience a chance to
play along and see if they can work out how the quiet family scene at breakfast goes from normal
to completely insane like doing a jigsaw with no picture. I feel as a viewer it is very sneaky how
the producer managed to keep us guessing and thinking on how this might occur. In the film there is
also very quick editing when we are getting to the

Movie Review Research Paper
A movie reviewer for a newspaper has the intriguing job of previewing movies, and even the
honor of determining the success of the movie. Today we will discuss more of what this job
entails, and even how you could get this job for yourself. First let us start off with the job
description. Movie reviewers have the job of watching movies before they even come out. Not
only can they do this for free, but they get paid for this. All they need is a love for movies, a
natural gift for writing, and a degree in journalism certainly helps, though not required. Popular
movie reviewers get to interview top stars, producers, and moved directors. Imagine having the
chance to interview your favorite movie star or director. Now you can imagine the appeal of a
job as a movie. Movie reviewers have both an analytical and creative mind. The analytical part to
judge parts of the movie such as tone, theme, and plot focus. While the creative part determines
how good the movie is with a personal bias. These reviews help determine the success of a movie.
There is the occasional exception, if the reviews on a movie are bad, usually the movie does bad in

While a major in journalism helps, it is not required. However, the chances of getting a job in this
field at first is slim. An easier way to get started in this field is to just go see new movies, write a
review for them, and post the review online. While you will not get paid at first this is a good
way to get enough experience to be considered for a position at a newspaper. Once you get popular
enough companies might start to invite you to previewing to get your feedback. Just remember add
something unique to your reviews, since the are a lot of people who do this on the internet. You
have to stand out of you want this to

Genre Analysis of Movie Review Essay
1. Introduction In recent years, movie class plays a more and more important role in English
teaching in China. Most teachers require students to write movie reviews after watching the movie.
However, how to write movie review is still remain unclear to students. Some student download a
review from the internet, and some write a summary of the movie instead. Genre analysis is a system
of analysis by which observations are made on the repeated communicative functions found in genres
and on the linguistic features of these functions (Brett, 1994). Genre knowledge played an important
role in helping novices understand how to produce academics, professional or educational discourse.

The second level grammatical–rhetorical analysis aims to investigate the relationship between
grammatical choice and rhetorical function in written English for science and technology. Discourse
analysis as interaction represents the third level of language description. Most importantly,
interactional analysis outlines the concept of interpretation of discourse by the reader or listener.
Discourse analysis appears to have steadily moved from surface–level analysis to a deeper
description of language use. However, in the context of language teaching for specific purposes,
applied discourse analysis seems to represent a rather narrow description of language in use and is
inadequate in its explanation. In order to introduce a thick description of language in use, it is
necessary to combine socio–cultural and psycholinguistic aspects of text–construction and
interpretation with linguistic insights to answer the question: why are specific discourse–genres
written and used by the specialist communities the way they are? Genre analysis as an insightful
description of English for specific purpose texts has become a useful and powerful tool to arrive at
significant form–function correlations which can be utilized for a number of applied linguistic
purposes. CARS, which means create a research space is a well–known model for conducting the

Evaluating The Movie 'Divergent'
Evaluation Essay Most of the times when a favorite book is turned into a movie a lot of the
important details and side characters are completely left out, or they add crazy changes that seem
to add to the action but doesn't add up to the plot line. The novel series "Divergent" is an example
of one of these movie vs book issues. Spoiler alert, for example people that died in the book didn't
die in the movie. That took away the emotional response most people had in the book and left a
feeling of shock in theaters. The novel in the series that has the most book to movie changes would
be the last book in the series Allegiant. The Divergent series is about a society of people divided

The first two books and movies went along great, things weren't left out that were vital and all the
characters for the most part were there. The last movie is the one that had some plot–shifting
changes. In the books there is woman named Edith Prior, one of Beatrice's ancestors who had
recorded video of her explaining everything, the factions being an experiment, how they knew it
would lead to war eventually, and how the Divergent are what they were trying to create through
this experiment. Beatrice and her friends broadcasted this video for all the factions to see,
something the lady on the opposing side of the war didn't want people to see. They also go to jail
for releasing this video and escape. None of these details are in the movie and Edith Prior was
never mentioned. In the book Beatrice's brother was charged with treason, went to trail and
sentenced to death. Beatrice's boyfriend Four helps him escape. In the movie her brother never
had a trial, Four just broke him out. When they finally escape the factions and over the wall they
are found by the people who started the experiment, the Bureau. In the book being at the Bureau
cause tension between Beatrice and Four so they break up for some time, this also never happens
in the movie. The book has a modern setting, airplanes, books, and other things that we have now.
In the movie the technology was so advanced that it was like something out of a Star Trek movie
and it didn't fit with the original feel of the book at all. In the end Beatrice is killed and Four
greaves for a long time. The book had an emotional ending and had myself in tears. In the movie
Beatrice never gets herself in the situation to be killed, which is a happy moment but also anger that

what makes an excellent film Essay
What makes an excellent film?
It took me a little while to come up with an answer to, "What makes an excellent film?" There
really is no answer, actually. I believe that an excellent film is within the eyes and emotions of the
audience. After researching and discovering what actually won Oscars and Golden Globe awards, it
came down to what the people thought, and the popularity of a film. It is extremely hard to predict
what will win these awards before the movie is even released to the public.
Before really thinking about the subject, some obvious traits of what I would consider "an excellent
film" would be superior acting, beautiful scenery, etc., such as many present categories in the
Academy or Golden Globe Awards. Of course I could...show more content...
The only other time that this had happened was in the 1950's, for Ben Hur. These definitely have
something to do with what makes an excellent film, but I also believe that the personal connection
and emotions that someone has with a film is just as important.
I feel that the emotional connection that people make with a film is, in most cases, an extremely
important quality that directors can emphasize on in /their work. Whether it is a realistic movie
that is based off of a true story, or a children's Disney movie, anyone can experience a sense of a
character's point of view. Depending on the type of film (horror, suspense, comedy, drama, etc.),
this emotional connection can vary among different people. In a classic Disney film such as Bambi,
children can relate to Bambi. They can easily understand the type of experiences that he goes
through such as having friends (Thumper, a joyous rabbit, and Flower, a loving skunk), playing on
an icy pond, and even going through an emotional event of losing a loved one (the death of Bambi's
mother).
In general, people rarely want to watch films that they know they won't enjoy. This is why there are
so many types of films, and different people have different views on what makes an "excellent
film". The media can have an

My Favorite Movies Essay
Have you ever thought about what kind of movies you have watched and why you have watched
them? Ever since I was a child, I always liked watching movies that had unique and interesting
characteristics in it. My parents told me that when I was a child I never wanted to watch movies
that were long and had boring plot. They tell me that I was very fussy on what movies I wanted to
watch, and that I always watched movies that encouraged or taught kids something good about
behaviour or environment.. Since my parents told me this, I can now very much relate to my
childhood and I think that I have not changed at all. This is because I am still very picky about the
movies I watch. All the movies should have certain characteristics such as acting, villain, and plot in
order to be considered good movies by the audience.
Without a good actor in a movie, the movie will seem mundane to the audience watching it. One of
the movies that I think has good acting is Home Alone. In this movie, there is a boy name Kevin
who is left behind at his house while his family goes on a vacation. This movie is all about how
Kevin, an eight year old boy, faces difficulties while he is alone at his house and learns that two
burglars are planning to rob his house. I think this movie is great and entertaining because it shows
how an eight year old kid deals with the robbery that was going to take place in his house all by
himself. Another movie that I believe has good acting is Star Wars– The Force

Movie Marathon Research Paper

  • 1. Movie Marathon Research Paper It was mostly sunny, warm summer day around noon when my 9 friends and I decided to do a movie marathon. We, stupidly, decided to watch all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies in order of the movie timeline. Did I mention that they were all the extended editions? We gathered the supplies that would seem to last a lifetime for most people, but we are teens and we have a tendency to eat a great amount of food. Once we put the first disk in, we didn't know what we were getting into. Once the first 3 Hobbit movies had been concluded, we ran out of provisions. It was around midnight. Only about half of us were still awake. It took us 10 minutes to wake up everyone and collect more supplies. After the first Lord of the Rings movie, which Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About A Movie I had just gotten off work and I was running around frantically trying to find the perfect outfit for a movie date, I didn't want to be too dressed up, but also not in a t–shirt and shorts, like I usually am. My parents wouldn't let me leave until they got to meet Garrett, the guy who was taking me out to the movies. I was super nervous they weren't going to like him because of his interests. So I send Garrett a text saying that my parents wanted him to come into the house so they could meet him. My dad is very blunt and doesn't know how to control himself sometimes, but I asked him to be nice and if he had any comments to keep them to himself, and thankfully, he did, but he snuck in "what? Does he need a pair of your jeans?" right before Garrett walked through the front door. Garrett is a guy who wears skinny jeans everyday, literally, everyday and he has curly shaggy hair, which I think suits him perfectly. It was completely silent majority of the car ride, besides the music playing the background. I think it would have been a little less awkward if we had the same music tastes, but unfortunately, we did not. He is into screamo songs, and I'm more into hip/hop and pop. We talked a little here and there, and finally arrived to the town Union, where we would be seeing the movie. We got there super early, like almost an hour early, so we looked up back roads to drive on to waste our time. While we drove around waiting on our movie, we got to talk about ourselves. I would ask Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Evaluation Essay On Movie Evaluation Evaluation Essay My dad and I are both huge movie nerds. We both love watching them and talking about them. Although we like some similar and some different types of movies, we like to watch and discuss them together. I look for many different things when I watch a movie. The Biggest thing I look for is plot. I want the plot to make sense and to flow well. I hate when movies have a lot of unexplained plot holes, it makes the movie hard to watch. I think the best movies have well thought out plots. The plot should make the person watching the movie interested in watching until the end. Another thing I look for in movies is actors who are good at acting. In my opinion, I believe that a bad actor can ruin the whole movie. Sometimes it can Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Textual Analysis Of A Movie With the amount of movies being turned out these days, the average person has many things to consider when deciding what movies to watch. From genre to special effects, most people must try and decide if the movie will be worth the money spent for the actual movie going experience. When the general public can watch movies in the comfort of their own home, often for half the price, they must consider if the theater experience will add to the movie they want to see. Would it be wiser to just wait for some free version online? When considering what movie to watch, I take this and more into account. Immediately in movies, I look at the genre. As the most basic way of separating movies, people already know what genres they enjoy the most. Genres such as Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Comedy, and Sci–fi are more preferable to me. If the movie fits in one of these genres, it has already captured my attention and interest. There are always some exceptions, but good movie experiences have lead me to stay fairly strict to these categories. I linger in these genres because their storylines intrigue and tend to offer beautiful visuals. After the genre, I look at the basis, graphics, and actors. I often look for a storyline I already know, such as book inspired movies,...show more content... As a whole, I enjoyed the movie. It provided a good balance of action and storyline. The audience was provided visually pleasing fight scenes without lacking any substance to the storyline. The story was also sufficiently loyal with the original comic book material. It had a definitive style and presence that was unique to the movie, while managing to keep the essence of the series. It made sure to cater to its die–hard comic fans, while appealing to a general audience. For the comic fans, many "easter eggs" or nods to said comic were provided. But Suicide Squad also makes sure to adequately introduce the characters for those with no Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Movie Reaction Paper "The Proposal "Movie Reaction Paper The Proposal is one of those "Laugh–Out–Loud Funny" movies. Showing the typical boss to coworker relationship, this movie brings out all the conflicts in everyday life, and shows how two people who hated each other fell in love. The Proposal also shows the watchers very important keys to communication. In this movie, there are times of impression management and selective perception, self–disclosure, assertiveness and compliance gaining, and lots of conflict. The two main characters in this movie is Sandra Bullock, starring as "Margaret", and Ryan Reynolds, starring as "Andrew". Margaret is a very professional, yet demanding editor that tends to really intimidate everyone else around her at her work...show more content... Margaret shows a great example of self–disclosure in this movie. Self–disclosure is the sharing of your own biographical data, personal ideas, and feelings. As Margaret was in the house earlier the second day, she had noticed that Andrew and his father were in a big fight. Before Margaret fell asleep that night, she decided to ask Andrew what the issue was between the two of them. Because Margaret wouldn't tell about him about her tattoo the previous day, Andrew felt uncomfortable disclosing his information to her, and told her goodnight. Margaret then thought over everything and decided to provide self–disclosure for Andrew. She began with "I like the psychic network" and her disclosure grew wider and wider with thoughts and feelings. With Andrew completely quiet the entire time of herself disclosure, she finally ends it with, "and the bird tattoo–their swallows. I got them when I was sixteen after my parents died". Andrew was quiet at first, but then opened up to Margaret more than he had the entire movie. They began singing and laughing and both fell asleep with smiles on their faces. According to the communication privacy management theory, we all each have our own rules and guidelines that guide our choices to disclosing our personal information to others. After living with Andrew and his family for nearly two days, Margaret builds herself up more to opening up to him. When she then finds out about his own Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Criteria for Film Evaluation Essay My Criteria for Film Evaluation There are three major standards through which I decide whether or not I will watch a film: reputation, and genre. Reputation is inclusive of friends and ratings of the film. Usually my friends and I have similar tastes and we are aroused or repulsed by the same films. Reputation is a strong and stable standard for deciding which film to go to, because with such a large population of movie watchers, major biases don't affect the reputation and ratings are fair and accurate. Also, people are inclined to give high ratings to movies that touch them or really make them think regardless...show more content... I have also noticed the exact opposite pattern with people who watch feel good movies. It gives them motivation to strive for a life such as the ones they have seen, a goal perhaps. Indeed, the feel good movies may be oppressive in a sense people strive for unrealistic living, something that may not ever happen, but it is always comparatively better to strive for something and never reach it, than to never strive at all. That is why I love feel good movies. I recently watched The Pursuit of Happyness. It was a feel good movie about a man who had nothing and how even his nothing declined to just himself and his son. His apartment got taken away, his wife left him, and even after he started to live in a motel, it got taken away also, all because of a lack of money. He worked hard selling useless pieces of equipment that a very small population of buyers would want. He walked countless miles to each buyer each day at a potential shot at buying his merchandise. He made bare minimum and sometimes couldn't give enough food to his son. But through all the change, one thing stayed constant, the pursuit of happiness. He strove learning and soon got a job at an extremely and severe Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Evaluation of the Movie "42" Evaluation of the Movie "42" When I first viewed this movie, I already knew some of Jackie Robinson's history, but I was still moved by this revealing depiction of his life during the years 1945–1947. This true story, which was released April 12, 2013, followed what I had learned about Jackie and stayed accurate while still being extremely entertaining. Jackie Robinson's number on his jersey was 42, he wore that number his entire Major League career with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The movie "42" is a biopic of the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson, when in 1947 Jackie became the first African–American player to break Major League Baseball's color barrier. The great directing, acting, and writing made this film enjoyable to watch. This...show more content... Jackie immediately tells the attendant to stop pumping gas into the team's bus. At which point, the attendant backs down and lets Jackie use the restroom. That scene helped me to understand Jackie's distain for discrimination. The next incident of segregation we witness involves Rachel, when she is surprised to see a "whites only" sign on a women's restroom door at an airport in Florida. The actress did a fantastic job of showing the shock and disbelief that Rachel expressed since she was from Pasadena, California and had never been exposed to this type of racial discrimination. When I first saw the cast, I was not quite sure what to expect. Two of the three leading roles, were not household names. I had not seen or heard of the actor playing Jackie Robinson, nor had I heard of the actress playing his wife Rachel Robinson. Chadwick Boseman did great in his portrayal of Jackie as was Nicole Beharie playing the role of Rachel. The two of them on screen together made for a great team. Chadwick was especially talented in his ability to show the anguish in his facial expressions when he faced insults and injuries. Boseman's performance as a professional ballplayer, loving husband, and father as well as a man that knows how to restrain himself when dealing with racism on and off the field reflects his skill as an actor. Nicole Beharie plays a wife with the "it's us against the world mentality," flawlessly. She seems perfect for the role of Rachel who is not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Through writing my pitch, I've learnt several things about the film industry. I've realised that a pitch is the very first thing we need to do before proceeding to any preproduction or production tasks and that the purpose of a pitch is to attract development finance to pay for the production of the film. Therefore, a pitch should be marketable and interesting. As pitching is commonly known as "selling the film", there are several things I need to consider in my pitch so that it can attract the investors and they would green–light the project. Some of them include the names of actors and actresses to create star power, a brief plot synopsis, budgeting values, genre and the target audience. I've also included a similar film to give a...show more content... The strapline "there's more you need to know" creates a sense of mysterious and curiosity in the readers. The strapline is coloured in black colour and black signifies mysteriousness and seriousness. For the title, I've used the font 'Minion Pro' as it is more unisex yet not so common so that it would be more appealing to older audience unlike the font 'Curlz MT' used in many girly or teen magazines. Posters play a very important role in the film industry. Through the production work, which required me to design and create at least three posters featuring my film, I've learned that the posters are one of the things needed to make a film successful. This is because they promote the film before it is released and also when the film is shown in cinemas. Most importantly, a film needs a good promotion in order to be successful. There are three types of posters: lobby cards, teaser posters and character posters. Lobby cards are like posters but they are smaller and collectible. However, they are soon replaced by teaser posters and character posters. A teaser poster is an early promotional movie poster, containing only a basic image or design without revealing too much information such as the plot, theme, and characters. They are often used to create sense of suspense and hype in the audience. In contrast, the character poster features an individual character from the film and usually it contains the name of the actor/actress, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Movie Evaluation Research Paper Evaluation Essay When one thinks about horror movies a couple, if not one, comes particularly into mind. Exorcist The Beginning, this demented film sent many to hospitals when it first premiered. Many till this day name the film as a classic horror film. But, as it is known every beginning must surely have an end. Influenced by the elder film, came a slightly more revolutionized twist. The newest prequel "Dominion." Even at first glance the names of the two films differentiate significantly. It can be deterred that both films will offer a dark and unique way of expressing the director's idea onto the big screen. Firstly, the original film is not able to be copied and displayed its own uniqueness. In the time it was released horror was a "taboo" and the film was actually quite frightening. If one would watch the movie in the new era it can be seen as cheesy, if anything....show more content... Many older films would need much catching up to do given all the violence that has taken over the new film industry. The newer film "Dominion" may have caused a lot of cardiac problems back then if it had been shown. The introduction to the film started with shooting and the famous saying of a Nazi Officer, "God isn't here today". Schrader's movie isn't particularly scary but, it's more substantive than The Exorcist and its sequels, because it considers evil as something more normal and real. The Prequel genuinely relives The Exorcist and manages to experience a new view for the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Characteristics Of A Good Movie What makes a good film? Choosing my top ten favorite films was literally the hardest thing I've ever done. How did I narrow it down? I thought what movies could I watch for the rest of my life. What makes a good movie? Well, for one the script has to be good. If the storyline isn't good, but the acting and effects are good; its still a bad movie. Its like having a slice of pizza that was cooked and dressed perfectly but the pepperoni and cheese are expired; it doesn't sound to appealing. A good story has seven elements. Number one being the purpose of the story, whether it be informative, persuasive, etc. Then there has to be a three dimensional character that changes over time. After a story has established a point and main character there needs to be a quest, conflict, or task that is out of reach for them to pursue. Now we need an antagonist that's hell bent on stopping the hero of the story. At this point, the protagonist is changing for the worst or growing for the better. Finally we come to big conflict scene were the truth comes out; the big fight scene, or the part that displays the growth of main character. In my opinion, a movie that displays this well is Enough. The movie Enough is about a waitress, Slim, that marries a wealthy contractor named Mitch. He seems like the perfect man who gives her everything she wants; a nice life in the suburbs and a family. Then he starts abusing her and she takes their kid and flees. The race against time Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. To Kill A Mockingbird Movie Evaluation The 1962 drama, To Kill a Mockingbird, stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch and Mary badham as Scout and was directed by Robert Mulligan. The screenplay was written by Horton Foote and was based off of the book by Harper Lee. This film was nominated for many awards and won many too, including Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Art Direction. It also won Golden Globes for Best Actor, Best Original Score, and Best Film Promoting International Understanding. To Kill a Mockingbird is set in a small town in Alabama in the 1930's and follows the life of a young girl, Scout, and her father and brother for three years. Scout and Jem's father Atticus is asked to defend a black man in a case where he was accused of taking...show more content... I like that the story is told from the innocent perspective of a six year old. For the most part, this film is pretty historically accurate, but some is a little exaggerated for the sake of the story. In real life, Atticus probably wouldn't have defended a black man in that time period, to protect himself and his children. Going against the word of a white woman would definitely get him more hate than he received in the film. But, most of the film was accurate to the time and definitely furthered my understanding of this time period. It is hard to realize how racist and sexirt people used to be, and it wasn't a big deal because everyone was. Obviously, nowadays our society in very politically correct so it is hard to imagine what it was like. I think one of the overall strengths of this movie is the casting, all of the actors are perfect for their roles and really bring the characters to life. Since I read the book before the movie, I also really appreciate that the movie stays true to the book and doesn't change too much. I think the only weakness is that the story isn't always explained very well. Everything that happens with Boo Radley and the kids is a little bit random and isn't described as well in the movie as it is in the book. But, overall I really enjoy this movie and would definitely recommend Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Filmmaking: The Complex Process Of Making A Film Making a film takes a very complex process. This is why films sometimes take months and even years to make. Filmmaking is always broken up into 5 steps. Filmmaking takes a process of the development of the film, the pre–production, production, the post–production, and distribution. This is when the production begins to take shape. Ideas for the film are created and the screenplay is written and edited. During this part of the process financing is planned out and looked at what can be afforded, what needs to be purchased, or what will be the amount of money of the whole film in total. During this part of the process the head people in charge make preparations for the film. For example they hold auditions to know what the cast and film crew to hire, they begin to build sets for the film, and they begin searching for and choosing the locations for the motion picture. This part of the process is when the film begins to take its shape. The script is put to action and it is then recorded during the film shoot. During this process, it is when the director has their ideas brought to life. While filming, things may be changed such as the dialogue, sets, tiny parts of the plot, and costumes. Some filmmakers say this is when they come up with more creative ideas. Many creative decisions are made during this process of filmmaking. The process of the post–production is when the images of the film, the sounds, and the effects are edited. This process is done under the film's director's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Movie Theater Experience Experiencing Film in Theaters Watching movies is probably one of my favorite activities, it does not matter if the movie good or bad; I just want to watch them. I loved going to the theaters as a kid because the entire experience was always so exciting, especially since it was the first thing my mother let me do out on my own. Going to the movies had always been a blessing but as I have grown I have made an effort to go less often. While the experience is still the same I just notice just how bad the overall experience can be as well. Honestly, the best part of watching a movie in theaters is the movie theater experience; for example the seats, the popcorn, the large screen, the sound system, the people, and the new releases. It is not just you in your room watching a movie, it is you reacting to the film and to the people around you around you as well, all the while getting all these over the top elements as well. Movie going takes a common experience and amplifies it so it feels like you're getting something even greater. Plus, my favorite part for any film has always been the trailers; the exciting bits and pieces of coming films thrown together to entice future visits. With fast paced action and cliffhanging details that are thrown in the 2–3 minute time frame, I am left wanting to come back and see that movie when it comes out. It is how they reel me in and keep me coming back in regular intervals. I have also gotten really into staying for the credits as well Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Footloose Movie Analysis Footloose "Tonight I gotta cut loose, footloose, kick off my sunday shoes. Jack, get back, come on before we crack." (Footloose, Kenny Loggins) For this essay, I chose to watch Footloose made in 1984 and directed by Herbert Ross and Footloose made in 2011 directed by Craig Brewer. Both movies centered around the town of Bomont, a secluded town with out of the ordinary beliefs. In this town, dancing and partying of any sort was strictly against the law and teenagers were seemingly miserable. There was little to no self expression and even listening to provocative music or any music too loud, could get you a ticket with a hefty fine. The reason behind the strict rules is that several years back, five teens from Bomont High School died in a car wreck after they were drinking and dancing too much. Each of these movies have some things in common, but have more differences than anything. Some of the main differences are the opening credits of each movie, how and who Ren arrives to Bomont at the beginning of the movie, the "chicken" races between Ren and Jeff, and the book burning in town square. In the 1984 version, the movie opens with the song "Footloose" and the first thing the viewers see is the shoes and feet of many different people dancing. One of the major things that you notice is the type and style of the shoes such as leg warmers and socks with heels which tells you what era the movie was made in. As the credits roll across the screen, the music continues to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Opening of Minority Report The genre of this film is a modern Sci–Fi movie that deals with the issue of fate and free will. It is in the future because it says the date at the start of the film. The film deals with the issue of free will and fate because the police have a department of 'pre crime' and they can see into the future with there new machine. Next they find the person who might commit the crime and do a test, but sometimes the machine goes wrong. If the test is positive then an arrest is made which could change the course of the world. This makes the audience think if the police are doing the right thing because they may save lives but what would of...show more content... ====================================================================== Like most modern films this has lots of quick snappy editing from one moment to the next. At the very start is some good editing where there are pictures on top of pictures with a kissing scene and scissors all intertwined as one. There is also a lot of cutting between facial expressions and moving bodies all lapping over each other making the audience confused and inquisitive to know what is happening. I feel that it is good because you get an insight of what is happening, but the audience has no real idea what is going on. It is only until you see this screen that Tom Cruise is working on that you can see what is happening. There is also a lot of cutting in this film from what Tom Cruise is seeing and what is happening in 'real' time. In the opening clip for example you have you have the man murdering on screen then you have the quiet family scene where everything is happening normally. I feel that this quick editing gives the audience a chance to play along and see if they can work out how the quiet family scene at breakfast goes from normal to completely insane like doing a jigsaw with no picture. I feel as a viewer it is very sneaky how the producer managed to keep us guessing and thinking on how this might occur. In the film there is also very quick editing when we are getting to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. Genre Analysis of Movie Review Essay 1. Introduction In recent years, movie class plays a more and more important role in English teaching in China. Most teachers require students to write movie reviews after watching the movie. However, how to write movie review is still remain unclear to students. Some student download a review from the internet, and some write a summary of the movie instead. Genre analysis is a system of analysis by which observations are made on the repeated communicative functions found in genres and on the linguistic features of these functions (Brett, 1994). Genre knowledge played an important role in helping novices understand how to produce academics, professional or educational discourse. The second level grammatical–rhetorical analysis aims to investigate the relationship between grammatical choice and rhetorical function in written English for science and technology. Discourse analysis as interaction represents the third level of language description. Most importantly, interactional analysis outlines the concept of interpretation of discourse by the reader or listener. Discourse analysis appears to have steadily moved from surface–level analysis to a deeper description of language use. However, in the context of language teaching for specific purposes, applied discourse analysis seems to represent a rather narrow description of language in use and is inadequate in its explanation. In order to introduce a thick description of language in use, it is necessary to combine socio–cultural and psycholinguistic aspects of text–construction and interpretation with linguistic insights to answer the question: why are specific discourse–genres written and used by the specialist communities the way they are? Genre analysis as an insightful description of English for specific purpose texts has become a useful and powerful tool to arrive at significant form–function correlations which can be utilized for a number of applied linguistic purposes. • 18. Evaluating The Movie 'Divergent' Evaluation Essay Most of the times when a favorite book is turned into a movie a lot of the important details and side characters are completely left out, or they add crazy changes that seem to add to the action but doesn't add up to the plot line. The novel series "Divergent" is an example of one of these movie vs book issues. Spoiler alert, for example people that died in the book didn't die in the movie. That took away the emotional response most people had in the book and left a feeling of shock in theaters. The novel in the series that has the most book to movie changes would be the last book in the series Allegiant. The Divergent series is about a society of people divided into five groups that they call factions, which are based on...show more content... The first two books and movies went along great, things weren't left out that were vital and all the characters for the most part were there. The last movie is the one that had some plot–shifting changes. In the books there is woman named Edith Prior, one of Beatrice's ancestors who had recorded video of her explaining everything, the factions being an experiment, how they knew it would lead to war eventually, and how the Divergent are what they were trying to create through this experiment. Beatrice and her friends broadcasted this video for all the factions to see, something the lady on the opposing side of the war didn't want people to see. They also go to jail for releasing this video and escape. None of these details are in the movie and Edith Prior was never mentioned. In the book Beatrice's brother was charged with treason, went to trail and sentenced to death. Beatrice's boyfriend Four helps him escape. In the movie her brother never had a trial, Four just broke him out. When they finally escape the factions and over the wall they are found by the people who started the experiment, the Bureau. In the book being at the Bureau cause tension between Beatrice and Four so they break up for some time, this also never happens in the movie. The book has a modern setting, airplanes, books, and other things that we have now. In the movie the technology was so advanced that it was like something out of a Star Trek movie and it didn't fit with the original feel of the book at all. In the end Beatrice is killed and Four greaves for a long time. The book had an emotional ending and had myself in tears. In the movie Beatrice never gets herself in the situation to be killed, which is a happy moment but also anger that the producers would make such a drastic change so they can continue the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. what makes an excellent film Essay What makes an excellent film? It took me a little while to come up with an answer to, "What makes an excellent film?" There really is no answer, actually. I believe that an excellent film is within the eyes and emotions of the audience. After researching and discovering what actually won Oscars and Golden Globe awards, it came down to what the people thought, and the popularity of a film. It is extremely hard to predict what will win these awards before the movie is even released to the public. Before really thinking about the subject, some obvious traits of what I would consider "an excellent film" would be superior acting, beautiful scenery, etc., such as many present categories in the Academy or Golden Globe Awards. Of course I could...show more content... The only other time that this had happened was in the 1950's, for Ben Hur. These definitely have something to do with what makes an excellent film, but I also believe that the personal connection and emotions that someone has with a film is just as important. I feel that the emotional connection that people make with a film is, in most cases, an extremely important quality that directors can emphasize on in /their work. Whether it is a realistic movie that is based off of a true story, or a children's Disney movie, anyone can experience a sense of a character's point of view. Depending on the type of film (horror, suspense, comedy, drama, etc.), this emotional connection can vary among different people. In a classic Disney film such as Bambi, children can relate to Bambi. They can easily understand the type of experiences that he goes through such as having friends (Thumper, a joyous rabbit, and Flower, a loving skunk), playing on an icy pond, and even going through an emotional event of losing a loved one (the death of Bambi's mother). In general, people rarely want to watch films that they know they won't enjoy. This is why there are so many types of films, and different people have different views on what makes an "excellent film". The media can have an Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My Favorite Movies Essay Have you ever thought about what kind of movies you have watched and why you have watched them? Ever since I was a child, I always liked watching movies that had unique and interesting characteristics in it. My parents told me that when I was a child I never wanted to watch movies that were long and had boring plot. They tell me that I was very fussy on what movies I wanted to watch, and that I always watched movies that encouraged or taught kids something good about behaviour or environment.. Since my parents told me this, I can now very much relate to my childhood and I think that I have not changed at all. This is because I am still very picky about the movies I watch. All the movies should have certain characteristics such as acting, villain, and plot in order to be considered good movies by the audience. Without a good actor in a movie, the movie will seem mundane to the audience watching it. One of the movies that I think has good acting is Home Alone. In this movie, there is a boy name Kevin who is left behind at his house while his family goes on a vacation. This movie is all about how Kevin, an eight year old boy, faces difficulties while he is alone at his house and learns that two burglars are planning to rob his house. I think this movie is great and entertaining because it shows how an eight year old kid deals with the robbery that was going to take place in his house all by himself. Another movie that I believe has good acting is Star Wars– The Force Get more content on HelpWriting.net
