2. Scary Movie
Through out scary movie the serial killers kills many young, attractive
girls who were the cause of their own death because of the silly
mistakes they were making. For instance, in the opening scene of the
film a young, appealing girl (who was at home on her own) was face to
face with the serial killer and next to her was a choice of weapon to
choose in order to face the killer, the choices were between a banana,
a grenade, a knife, a gun and a dagger. The girl decided to choose the
banana which was obviously the worst decision as it was the least
harmful weapon to use against the serial killer as a banana is a fruit
where as the other choices were weapons. Additionally, the girl was
wearing short shorts and a little jumper which later in the scene get
torn of by the killer and the girl ends up running through sprinklers with
just her underwear on making her even more vulnerable to the killer
as she is hardly wearing any clothes. Ultimately, this leads to her
death as she gets stabbed by the killer.
3. Unfriended
Unfriended includes 6 teenagers in a Skype call and a girl who killed herself
from them bullying her, joins the chat and kills each of them one by one.
However, the teenage boys are killed in more realistic ways such as being
hung and shooting themselves, where as the teenage girls die more stupid
deaths such as choking on hair straighteners to show how stereotype of girls
in horror movies being young attractive and silly as they had unrealistic
deaths compared to the boys. Additionally, the girls were hardly wearing any
clothes also highlighting the stereotype of girls being vulnerable making it
easy for the killer to take advantage of them as the are lonely and have little
amounts of clothes on.
