DISCUSSION
We have debated in a group, and have come to the conclusion of calling the
film after the doll, who is the main character of our film. Following
convections of horror movies such as “Chucky” who is the main character
of the film. This also tells the audience what the film is about, and
foreshadows the future events to do with that main character.
DECISION
We want the name of the doll to be traditional to give authentic value to the
film. This will also give the sense of a background story to the doll adding
to the history of the film opening. This will make our film more mysterious
which is another big convention in horror movies.

FINAL OUTCOME
We have now decided to call our film Scarlett, with a poll, our three choices
were Lucia Scarlett and Nancy, Lucia had 6 votes, Scarlett had 7 and Nancy
had 1. we had a clear winner and this fitted with our film very well. This is
because this name is the colour of red which gives the conation of danger
and fear as it is the colour of blood. Also the “Scar” in the name relates to
the scar the doll has, this again adds to the background story of the doll
which the audience are givens clues. The scar will also be the physical
symbol of the dolls mentally unstable mind. The name is also a playful
traditional girly name which contrasts with the character. This directly
makes the audience think of innocence but there is more to the title as you
begin to watch the film which shows the darker side of this.
