I. INTRODUCTION
Battery life can be the answer or phone
throwing annoyance that does and doesn’t
allows us to endlessly text and use smart
phone’s to their optimum capacity. But if
you don’t want to be tethered to a wall
outlet like a mother leashed to a child
there’s a new solution you can partake in
with friends.
This is using a gadget which is actually
used to transfer the battery from one phone
to another using a mode of
communication.
This is very advance technique which will
help millions of users in terms of battery
backups. With the computing power and
energy consumption of the mobile devices
skyrocketing these days, there is a need to
have a charger handy all the time to keeps
the device going. And although physical
world is not as easy as the virtual world to
manipulate with apps.
I believe using technology that has
evolved for other reasons; it is possible to
control certain aspects of the physical
world with apps – like sharing battery
power from one device to another. This is
perfectly new technology which can make
a revolutionary change.
Well this is how using the cable the two
phones will be connected and further using
the application built on the android
platform this can be transferred.
Application is used for monitoring the
transfer of battery.
II. BASIC IDEA
The basic idea behind this is “potential
difference “ the charge transfer from high
potential to the low potential this very
basic idea is used in this transfer of battery
where the battery with the high potential
can act as donor while on the other side

SAVOIR MANTRNA (2014)
ABES Engineering College
Ghaziabad (U.P.) 201009
battery with low potential will act as
gainer .
The same idea is used here for transfer of
battery from one phone to another.
The one goes on decreasing and other goes
on increasing.
III. TYPES
These can be of many types using:
A. one-one connection
B. Two-one connection
This both set can be used as per the
availability and obviously the 2 sharing
gadget will enable more battery transfer as
there are 2 donors.

IV. COMPATIBLITY
This can be used in similar hardware or
specifications as the architecture can be
different from phone to phone i.e. this are
the only drawback of it kind which is
found yet.
This is also available for IOS devices with
cool gadgets.
V. APPLICATION
The application that is developed is purely
android basis which actually will monitor
this battery transfer. This is developed in
ADT bundle that is using Eclipse IDE to
develop the .apk extension app for android
device.
This application contains two buttons
which actually helps you to be act as donor
or gainer respectively transferring the
battery it also monitors the time in how
much time the battery gets transferred.
VI. OTHER USES
It can also be used in charging the smart
watch which is very common these days.
As smart watch is so handy and less power
International Journal Vision & Quest (0975-8410)
SAVOIR MANTRNA (2014)
ABES Engineering College
Ghaziabad (U.P.) 201009
so this is also one of the different features
which can be used in recharging the
battery of the watch.
VII. CURRENT SCENARIO
It’s currently running in US efficiently in
Smart phones it is not officially available
but is developed by some of the students
and working fine with these gadgets.
VIII. FUTURE SCOPE
Instead of using wires NFC technology
can be used in transferring of battery . Yes,
with an app. And this is how we go about
it. Almost all smart devices beyond 2012
are expected to have NFC(Near Field
Communication) capability enabled in
them. NFC is based on an age old concept
that is shared with cooking hobs and AC
generators – electromagnetic induction.
In simple form, NFC hardware is made up
of an inductive coil that creates an
alternating magnetic field. When a new
device with another similar antenna is
bought near this device, the magnetic field
induces current to flow and energy is
transferred. The NFC software stack uses
this hardware to embed data and transfer it
to another device that is close by.
The energy involved in a traditional NFC
application is quite minimal because it is
aimed for data transmission. But the same
hardware can be used with some minor
additions to transfer battery power over the
air.
The idea is to connect a charging circuit
from the NFC circuit to the battery charger
and this gets enabled only when the
charging app is invoked and the circuit
feeds the energy tapped via NFC to the
battery. The donor can choose how much
battery he/she can afford to share and then
both the donor and the receiver have to
leave the phones near each other.
