2. CLASSES
You will have on average 6 class periods a day. Each
class about being 57 minutes long (on a regular day).
Every Freshman will take English, Mathematics, Science,
and P.E., but some Freshman may take history and a
language class.
If you feel that you do not belong in a certain class or
that a class you are enrolled in is too advanced for you,
schedule a meeting with your counselor A.S.A.P. DO
NOT WAIT to talk to with your counselor.
Expect a heavier work load when in high school. Make
sure to keep up with it. It is easy to fall behind.
3. PRE-IB CLASSES
What is IB? IB is an International Baccalaureate
Program for “highly motivated and capable juniors and
seniors as well as a "pre" IB Program to prepare
freshmen and sophomores for success.”
These classes are a lot more advanced than regular
classes and have an even heavier work load.
The primary factors of success in the program are the
student's motivation level and desire to be in the
program.
A good fit for this program would be a student with a
GPA of about 3.o & a math and language arts CST
scores that are ranked in „proficient‟ or „advanced‟.
4. SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED ON
YOUR FIRST DAY:

busy at times & it is good to keep track of
assignments/projects, due dates, school events, ect.
Most of your teachers will give you a list of supplies
that will be needed for their class for that year.
