Time Management

 1. 1. By: Alinapreet the importance of ORGANISING your TIME
 2. 2. Why Time Management is Important:

Helps to keep you on track

Shows you how far behind/ ahead you are for a task

Allows you to set goals easily and clearly for school tasks

Gives you a timetable or routine to follow

 3. 3. How can you manage your time??

You should write out any homework you have been given (in a school/diary)

Take note of any assignments and their due dates

Write out a set of goals for the day or week in a timetable (don’t forget to account for any extra activities)

Try and account for any study time, homework time and time you want to spend on an assignment

 4. 4. An example of an easy time table/chart-

5pm- Maths homework

5.30- Write out new maths notes

6- Eat dinner

6.20- Work on geography assignment (research)

7- Practice piano

7.30- English homework

8.20- Pack school bag

8.30- Brush my teeth and read a book

9- Go to sleep

 5. 5. The difference between years 7-9 and 10-12

Years 7-9 would have a very simple timetable such as the one previous and would be expected to write up notes for their subjects every 2 weeks (this is very handy when examinations start)

Years 10-12 have a much heavier work load and need to account for homework time, study time, time to write up notes and how to keep on track

 6. 6. What happens without time management-

You will not be as organised

It’ll be harder for you to keep up with your work and assignments at the same time

You may forget about a task and end up doing it ‘the night before’, making things very stressful

It makes it easier for you to procrastinate for a longer period without realising how much time you’ve wasted

 7. 7.

By managing your time correctly and writing up time tables/charts every week or day, it helps you with releasing any stress that you would have had trying to remember all your tasks in your head. If you plan out your assignments and work correctly, you can always go and talk with your teacher for any advice or help (but not the day before the task is due). Time management is an important factor throughout high school life.

 8. 8. The End By: Alinapreet Yr 9 Now go out and start organising your time!! Good Luck!
