2. THE SUBJECT
The subject is the part of the sentence that teels whom or what
the sentence is about.
All words in the subject are the complete subject.
A simple subject can be more than one word.

4. THE PREDICATE
The predicate is the part of a sentence that tells what the subject is
or does.
All the words in the predicate are the complete predicate.
The most important word in the predicate is the simple predicate,
or verb.
A simple predicate can be more than one word.
