This document lists and briefly describes several popular social media and online networking platforms for learning, including Facebook, Wikipedia, Twitter, Blogger, PBworks, Second Life, WordPress, Picasa, YouTube, Google, and Google+. Facebook is described as a site to talk with people you meet and find others, share interests, and play games. Wikipedia is a free, collaborative online encyclopedia project. Twitter allows people to follow interests and others through short tweets of up to 140 characters.

7. PBWORKS
PB. WORKS is a service founded by David Weekly on Monday in 2005.
Pbworks is a commercial real-time collaborative editing (RTCE)
system created by David Weekly, with Ramit Sethiand Nathan Schmidt
joining shortly thereafter as co-founders. Based in San
Mateo, California, the company's original name stems from their belief
that "making a wiki is as easy as making a peanut butter sandwich".
The company operates on a freemium basis, with basic features being
offered for free and more advanced features for a fee.

8. SECOND LIFE
 Second Life is an online
virtualworld developed by Linden Lab. It’s
similar than SIMS. Second Life is invented
for people aged 16.

9. WORDPRESS
 WordPress is an open source blogging tool and publishing
platform powered by PHP and MySQL. It is often
customized into a content management system. WordPress
has a web template system web using a template
processors. Users can re-arrange widgets without
editing PHP or HTML code; they can also install and switch
between themes.
