El presente Continuo en Inglés

1. Present Continuous
El Presente Continuo se forma con el verbo To be + Verbo +ING (gerund)
Affirmative:
I am speaking English now.
(yo estoy hablando inglés ahora).
You are speaking English now.
He is speaking English now.
She is speaking English now.
It is speaking English now.
We are speaking English now.
You are speaking English now.
They are speaking English now.
1- Describe la acción en el momento del habla. Now, at this moment.

2. Present Continuous
El Presente Continuo se forma con el verbo To be + Verbo +ING (gerund)
Interrogative: Auxiliary + Pronoun + Verb+ ing?
Am I speaking English now?.
(¿Estoy yo hablando inglés ahora?).
Are you speaking English now?.
Is he speaking English now?.
Is she speaking English now?.
Is it speaking English now?.
Are we speaking English now?.
Are you speaking English now?.
Are they speaking English now?.

3. Present Continuous
El Presente Continuo se forma con el verbo To be + Verbo +ING (gerund)
Negative: Pronoun + Auxiliary + not + Verb + ING
I am not speaking English now. (I'm not)
(yo no estoy hablando inglés ahora).
You are not speaking English now. (You aren't)
He is not speaking English now. (He isn´t)
She is not speaking English now. (She isn't)
It is not speaking English now. (It isn't)
We are not speaking English now. (We aren't)
You are not speaking English now. (You aren't)
They are not speaking English now. (They aren't)

4. Present Continuous
Spelling Rules (Reglas Ortográficas)
1- Verbos con vocal corta + consonante: Se dobla la consonante.
Sit – sitting (sentarse) Cut – cutting (cortar) Stop – stopping (detener)
Travel – travelling (viajar) Run – running (correr) Swim – swimming (nadar)
2- Verbos termeninados en “e”, cambia por ing.
Write – writing (escribir) Dance – dancing (bailar) Make – making (preparar)
Nota: Cook – cooking (cocinar) Buy – buying (comprar)

5. Present Continuous
Using Present Continuous:
1- Future Arrangements: Arreglos/acuerdos previos para acciones futuras.
Acción cierta en el futuro.
I'm travelling to Europe next month.
Viajo a Europa el mes próximo.
The students are having a test tomorrow.
Los estudiantes tienen una prueba mañana.

6. Present Continuous
Using Present Continuous:
1- Annoying Actions: El Presente Continuo con los adverbios de frecuencia
always (siempre) y never (nunca) indica acciones molestas o irritantes que se
vuelven a repetir.
My neighbour is always criticizing me!.
¡Mi vecino siempre me está criticando!.
Tom is never paying attention in class!.
¡Tom nunca está prestando atención en la clase!.
