1. How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
QUESTION 2
2. ο Our film shows a representation of a troubled young
female who doesnβt seem to be able to let go of the past
or someone who meant a lot to them in the past.
ο By doing this we also made the protagonist at first just
seem as though they were depressed but, as it is a
psychological thriller, there is obviously a lot more to what
is going on in her mind.
ο What the audience can observe is that the protagonist
seems to just lock themselves away and do whatever
needs to be done.
ο However, also by the costume we can tell that she is
probably a girl who likes to dress up and have fun but is
unable to do that anymore due to circumstances.
3. ο Another thing is that because of the family
behaviour and setting, we can tell that this is of
probably a working class house and that the
mother portrays a stereotypical representation
of that.
ο How she is portrayed is stereotypical as she is
wanting her daughter to buy cigarettes for her
and when she arrives home she asks if she
bought them but gets no reply.
ο This is a very common view of how working
class families behave and what they look for.
