Summary
Baltistan is the far most area of Pakistan. The Land Baltistan is a remote and beautiful land
spread over 10,119 square miles in the north of Pakistan, bordering Ladakh to the East, Kashmir to
the South, and Sinkiang province of China to the North.
It has five valleys, namely Skardu, Khaplu, Shigar, Kharmang, and Rondu.
Skardu is the capital of Baltistan and it is the most developing city of the region. Due to the
development in infrastructure and construction of hydro power projects the use of electrical
appliances are increasing. There is also increasing numbers of LPG users in the city.
Karakoram international university Skardu campus is one of the most important and only education
institution for higher education to the male and female students of Baltistan.
As the world has became a global village and the technologies are developing day by day, the
under developing countries, cities and villages are also in a changing situation. The priorities
and preferences of people are also changing with the passage of time.
We the students of Mba 6th realized that due to the increase in the use of modern appliances
both electrical and non electrical e.g. an LPG cylinder both in houses and commercial
purposes, the risk of hazards also increases. So we the students of management sciences decided
to work on women training through conducting lecture ,training and awareness session.we will
conduct a workshop on the given title of the project.
To make the workshop more informative and fruitful we will conduct a lecture session, practical
demo and test to evaluate the result.
For this purpose we will need financial support from a sponsor organization.
The estimated budget for the whole project is 1800000/- Pak rupees, including the refreshment etc.

Introduction
Baltistan is the far most area of Pakistan. The Land Baltistan is a remote and beautiful land
spread over 10,119 square miles in the north of Pakistan, bordering Ladakh to the East, Kashmir to
the South, and Sinkiang province of China to the North. The climate is pleasant during the summers
but extremely harsh during the long winters when the temperature remains below zero for long
spells.
LPG cylinders both in houses and commercial purposes,
the risk of hazards also increase. So we the students of management sciences decided to work on
women training through conducting lecture ,training and awareness session.we will conduct a
workshop on the given title of the project.
As most of the users of those appliances are women and illiterate people the chances of
mishandled are not negligible.
5. 5
Needs/Problems
Most of the people of this region is not aware of hazards and safety precautions specially the
women. They are illiterate about the safety precautions in case of any hazards. The main
problem is that there is no any subject related to these kinds of usage and safety precautions
of electricity and its appliances included in the syllabus by the government at primary or even
at secondary and higher secondary level, due to which the people are unaware about the
hazards and safety precautions of electricity and the usage of the modern appliances and
devices.
As most of the users of those appliances are women and illiterate people the chances of
mishandled is not negligible. The males are out of the houses and the females are alone at
home and mostly they have to use and handled with the appliances for cooking, washing and
cleaning etc. Sometimes they face the problem of short circuit and electricity failure. In these
situation the women have to wait to come their males and such situations may also lead to a
sever casualties.
Due to the lack of knowledge and awareness of the females about the use and installation of
these appliances and devices they face many problems. Most of the women don’t know even
how to switch of the main circuit in case of emergency and short circuit.
The most commonly appliances/devices in houses are:
1-Iron, 2-Oven, 3-Washing machine, 4-Heater, 5-Gizzer, 6-Fan, 7-Lamp 8-Computer 9-TV 10-
Vaccum Cleaner 11-LPG Cylinder 12-LPG Appliances Etc
6. 6
Goals/Objectives
“Ignorance is a curse” so our main aim is to aware and trained the women of the city how to
handled with the unexpected situation, how to repair the minor defects, how to plug in or plug
off a device? How to change a bulb or energy saver? How to fix a circuit breaker or even how
to use the tools like screw driver, plause, wire cutter etc.
Our main goal is to make the people well knowledge and enough trained about the
electricity,Lpg,the hazards and the safety precautions by practicing them how they can save
their as well as the life of their loved ones.
As knowledge about anything is better than ignorance and a well trained person can also
trained others. In this way a chain of training can be formed by motivating them to train
others. In this way the people of whole region will be safe and sound at their places.
Another advantage of this project is that the misusage of electricity and other fuel can be
minimized by awaring them the importance of these resources.
Procedures/Scope of Work
As Kiu Skardu campus is the only institute for higher education in the whole Baltistan region
and a large number of female students are also studying here, represents the women of the
city because almost the 70 percent f the youth female are enrolled in the campus. When we
trained the female students of this campus they will trained or even aware their mothers and
sisters.
As a well educated mother can educate a generation as a well trained mother or sister can
trained and aware here whole family. A trained female student can trained her mother, sisters
and her friends. In this way a chain of trained female can be formed which can be lead to a
trained and aware nation. This will be beneficial at domestic level as well as national level.
