My Reflections
In “Scientific Notation”, is the way that scientists easily handle very large numbers or very small
numbers . For example, instead of writing 0.0000000056, we write 5.6 x 10-9.
-For me, it’s very helpful because we can easily understand or write the very large numbers and very small
numbers.
Let’s talk about “Algebra”… With computer games you play by running, jumping or finding secret
things. Well, with Algebra you play with letters, numbers and symbols, and you also get to find secret things!
-And once you learn some of the "tricks", it becomes a fun challenge to work out how to use your skil ls in
solving each "puzzle".
-For me, It’s pretty hard... because when we talk about “math” all problems will be easy if you just
analyze and think about before you gonna answer the question, I mean you to think first the formula ,
solution and etc.
Ok, so for the “Scientific Digits”… When a number is expressed in scientific notation, the number of
significant digits (or significant figures) is the number of digits needed to express the number to within the
uncertainty of calculation. For example, if a quantity is known to be , four figures would be significant.
-My teacher teach us, that there are many rules for determinating the significant digits… honestly I
think that it is really hard to memorize all the rules but my other teacher said that you don’t have to memorize
what you are learning because it will not insist in your brain so you have to analyze and try to understand so
that you can really understand what you are learning for.
