If you think about it, each one of the Chakras and one of the main body gestures relate to one of the body language target points and ideally contribute to our being. Our senses would work together with our feelings and thinking, anytime there is a gag between what we think, feel or say, the body language sends a signal to us and to the environment. For example, one of the most basic and powerful body-language signals is when a person crosses his or her arms across the chest. This can indicate that a person is putting up an unconscious barrier between themselves and others. Body Language is the language which our bodies speak, many times even without our conscious knowledge. But, when we speak, our body language must be in congruence with our oral words. People tend to believe our body language more than what we speak, whenever there is any variance between the two. Body language is a truth teller. We must improve our body language if we want to be a more effective communicator. Observing other's body language also helps us to understand what others want to actually convey. So, closely observing body language can greatly improve our interpersonal skills, and help us to maintain cordial relationship with every body.

We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

Breast cancer: Post menopausal endocrine therapyDr. Sumit KUMAR
Breast cancer in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive (HR+) status is a common and complex condition that necessitates a multifaceted approach to management. HR+ breast cancer means that the cancer cells grow in response to hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. This subtype is prevalent among postmenopausal women and typically exhibits a more indolent course compared to other forms of breast cancer, which allows for a variety of treatment options.
Diagnosis and Staging
The diagnosis of HR+ breast cancer begins with clinical evaluation, imaging, and biopsy. Imaging modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, and MRI help in assessing the extent of the disease. Histopathological examination and immunohistochemical staining of the biopsy sample confirm the diagnosis and hormone receptor status by identifying the presence of estrogen receptors (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) on the tumor cells.
Staging involves determining the size of the tumor (T), the involvement of regional lymph nodes (N), and the presence of distant metastasis (M). The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system is commonly used. Accurate staging is critical as it guides treatment decisions.
Treatment Options
Endocrine Therapy
Endocrine therapy is the cornerstone of treatment for HR+ breast cancer in postmenopausal women. The primary goal is to reduce the levels of estrogen or block its effects on cancer cells. Commonly used agents include:
Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs): Tamoxifen is a SERM that binds to estrogen receptors, blocking estrogen from stimulating breast cancer cells. It is effective but may have side effects such as increased risk of endometrial cancer and thromboembolic events.
Aromatase Inhibitors (AIs): These drugs, including anastrozole, letrozole, and exemestane, lower estrogen levels by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which converts androgens to estrogen in peripheral tissues. AIs are generally preferred in postmenopausal women due to their efficacy and safety profile compared to tamoxifen.
Selective Estrogen Receptor Downregulators (SERDs): Fulvestrant is a SERD that degrades estrogen receptors and is used in cases where resistance to other endocrine therapies develops.
Combination Therapies
Combining endocrine therapy with other treatments enhances efficacy. Examples include:
Endocrine Therapy with CDK4/6 Inhibitors: Palbociclib, ribociclib, and abemaciclib are CDK4/6 inhibitors that, when combined with endocrine therapy, significantly improve progression-free survival in advanced HR+ breast cancer.
Endocrine Therapy with mTOR Inhibitors: Everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, can be added to endocrine therapy for patients who have developed resistance to aromatase inhibitors.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is generally reserved for patients with high-risk features, such as large tumor size, high-grade histology, or extensive lymph node involvement. Regimens often include anthracyclines and taxanes.

Acupuncture for children
1. Acupuncture for Children
Acupuncture is not just for adults, and it’s not just a pain remedy! This article
explains how acupuncture can help children.
Chinese Medicine is not just a pain relief method. It’s actually a pretty
complex medical system that includes pediatric care for infants, toddlers,
and small children. Instead of simply being treated like small adults,
children are treated with a different system of therapies and methods
than adults. What is accupuncture for children? Different methods of
acupuncture for children include the use of shonishin, which is a non-
insertion method of acupuncture that uses a special tool. Chinese
Medicine pediatrics also includes tuina (therapeutic massage) and herbal
medicine.
Shonishin literally translates to “little children needle” in English. This
method originated in Osaka, Japan in the 17th century for the treatment
of infants and children up to the age of seven. Shonishin is a pediatric
method of acupuncture in La Jolla, CA that is known to treat children
with heartburn (GERD), indigestion, attention deficit hyperactivity
2. disorder (ADHD), constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome,
allergies, eczema, hives, bedwetting, and even speech problems. The
acupuncturist uses a shonishin tool by stroking, tapping, rubbing, and
pressing the skin to create a variety of sensations over the acupuncture
meridians. The entire treatment process can take anywhere from 5 to 20
minutes, depending on the strength of the child and his or her age.
Tuina massage, on the other hand, includes traction, motion, massage,
and stimulation of the different acupuncture meridians at specific points.
Both chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions can be treated with
tuina. Internal conditions such as digestive problems, difficulty sleeping,
chest congestion, colds and coughs, and even anxiety-related disorders
may also respond well to tuina treatment.
Most acupuncturists will show the child’s parents different shonishin
and tuina techniques that the parent can do at home between visits with
the acupuncturist. An ordinary soup spoon can be used in place of
professional tuina and guasha tools for “maintenance” to keep children’s
conditions under control.
It’s important for parents to utilize therapeutic physical touch with their
children. This plays a crucial role in the development of a child’s
nervous system, providing a healthy balance between the sympathetic
and parasympathetic nervous system, the immune system, the digestive
system, and the musculoskeletal system. Oftentimes physical and
behavioral problems in children are simply manifestations of a lack of
therapeutic touch and the usage of inappropriate physical touch
(spanking or hitting).
Physical touch teaches children body awareness. This helps them to
understand that if they are hungry, thirsty, hot, cold, tired, sleepy, hurt,
or sick; they can either utilize some self-care by using self-massage, or
asking for help. Children without such awareness may act out, scream,
or be mean to others because they don’t understand what is going on
inside their bodies and they don’t know what to do about it.
3. Herbal medicine is another forgotten remedy of Chinese Medicine that is
relied upon when you get acupuncture in La Jolla, CA. Instead of using
Tylenol, Ritalin, Nyquil, or other potentially dangerous over-the-counter
and “prescription” drugs, Chinese herbalists rely on natural remedies
that have been used for centuries without causing unwanted side effects.
Herbal medicine treats the root of the disease, rather than treating the
branch or symptom only. For this reason, symptomatic relief may not
come immediately after using an herbal formula. However, the disease
process itself will be over much more quickly.
