Exercises – Mobility and stretches lower body
These exercises can be used to increase flexibility in the lower body and torso area.
Spinal Twist (low back rotation)
Lying
face
up
(supine)
with
both
knees
bent
allow
both
knees
to
drop
slowly
off
to
one
side
towards
the
ground.
Turn
the
head
and
hands
to
face
in
the
opposite
direction.
Cross
one
leg
over
the
other
and
drop
the
knees
off
to
the
side
whilst
twisting
the
upper
body
in
the
opposite
direction
leaning
the
opposing
knee
weighting
down
the
top
leg.
Alternatively
leave
both
hands
flat
facing
down
in
crucifix
position
bringing
one
leg
over
the
top
twisting
the
lower
body
with
the
leg
at
a
45
degree
angle.
Repeat
on
opposite
sides.
