Preparation done, you’re in the saddle
• You are there because the employer wants to hire someone. Make sure it is you by starting the
interview in the right way and make their first impressions a positive and lasting one.
• How? Seeing as only 10% of our communication is verbal make sure you sit up and lean
slightly forward to express your interest as soon as you sit down. Also demonstrate your
curiosity and interest by maintaining eye contact whilst they are opening up the interview.
• When answering the questions use hand gestures to express yourself and involve the
interviewer in your answers. Also make sure you can back up your answers with clear evidence
