1. Notes from ‘Over the Edge’ performance.
When and where was it held?
The 22nd of July 2010 at the Barbican centre in central London.
What was the atmosphere like?
It was lively at times, people were cheering and eager to see what was going on.
What was the venue like?
The venue was very big and spacious and not crowded as the seats were well spread out. A glass screen covered the stage which then split in half.
Was the music appropriate?
Yes as it went well with what they were performing. The music was very upbeat and had a very good rhythm to it.
Was the dance professional?
Yes as everyone knew what they were doing the play ran very smoothly although some parts did seem slightly improvised.
What was my favourite part?
The beginning as it was interesting and had a proper story line to it keeping me wanting to keep watching what was going to happen next.
What could be improved?
The transition between each scene, as sometimes it was just screen down new scene which sort of lost me a couple of times.
What part of the play stood out?
The part where they were in white costumes as it was different from the rest and it sort of made you lean over your seat to properly see what was going on.
Would I recommend someone to go?
Yes, maybe more for kids as it is an amazing experience for someone around my age although some adults as well might get a good feel out of this performance
.
What were the costumes like?
The costumes were very different but changed as they went along. The costumes suited what the character was playing e.g. a business man was wearing a suit and so on. Although some of the costumes were very strange.
How did the play make me feel?
The play left me with a really good feeling inside. It just amazed me to see how just through the movement of dance it can have that much of an effect on people.
