Where were they normally created?
Many Egyptian Murals were made from gold and semi-precious stones, this was used to protect and preserve the mural for a very long time. Gold was used because it was one of the most important products of Nubia. Murals were made inside the pyramids inside the tombs in the homes of the kings at the time.
What was the process of creating a mural and who did it?
The Mural would have always been done by the slaves. They first engraved the design into the wall; they would then add the colour to it. The colour was usually made from oils and minerals. If the stone wasn’t smooth enough to draw on, it would be plastered using a mould, which was made out of straw or brown earth making it easier to engrave on
-219075369570 What was the reason/purpose for creating murals?
The purpose of creating these Murals was to keep a record of history for future generations, and to prove that the Egyptians actually existed. Murals would tell stories of the kings and leaders also about the lifestyle of Egyptians during that time.
The type of Egyptian mural found in the tomb depended on the culture and the social status of that person. Murals in tombs of rulers or priests would have Murals showing their life and important events that have occurred. Public Murals are usually trying to tell us about the cultural and political aspect.
Any important event was usually made into a mural to be remembered forever.

What sort of content did the murals normally have, why?
Many Murals were based around daily life, historical figures from Egypt; they would usually be centred on the gods.
Murals were also being made about Pharaohs, battles, important events, gods, it was usually based on things that they would want future generation to know about and remember.
39052520320
