The Competence Centre aims to be the central point of contact
for German and Southern African companies in the Mineral
Resources arena.

Sustainable Energy
Competence Centre
Supports southern African—German private sector cooperation in the field
of renewable energy and energy efficiency, by:
 Collecting, analysing and providing market information
 Providing a Networking platform: advocacy and joint sustainable energy
sector initiatives
 Offer advisory services to the sustainable energy industry, including
advanced training and skill enhancement – such as the EUREM Training
Programme (European Energy Manager)
 Promote German technology in the southern African markets
Corporate Social Responsibility
Competence Centre
In partnership with eight member companies and GIZ, the CSR
Competence Centre is:
- An Information Centre
- Coordinates CSR Projects
- Ensures compliance with guidelines
- Provides a communication centre for all stakeholders
