As a humanitarian at heart, after matriculating in 1989, it wasn’t a surprise to family when I embarked on becoming a paramedic. The dire need for health, medical and emergency personnel at the time also prompted me to pursue a career helping those in traumatic and life-threatening situations. Having spent twelve rewarding years as a paramedic, I felt that I had more to offer and more to learn. I subsequently enrolled for a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at UNISA which was successfully completed in 2006.
