Mr. Yrjö Timonen is a state-of-art service designer and strategy expert in service and wellness
business. He has 40 years experience in demanding service innovation missions with ski
resorts, cruising ferries, spas and hotels. He has also worked in the public and municipal
sector to create new service models. He is higly respected in Finnish service industry
management and is considered as one of the leading service management consultant in
Finnish hospitality Business. He has designed several restaurant and hotel concepts, opened
new sites and been a member of demanding service projects in Estonia and Finland.
He has made his MA degree in Jyväskylä University and BA in Haaga-Helia University of
Applied Sciences in Helsinki. He also has had additional education in Roffey Park College in
London in service management.
He has worked as a full time expert and consultant 32 years and has also long insight view to
entrepreneurship being one of the owners of the leading Southern Finland Ski&Country clubs.
Yrjö is also a co-founder and COO of Welmonde, the first digital customer service platform
that combines wellness brands to end users, therapists and wellness operators. Wellmonde
will be launched in autumn 2016.
Yrjö has also a long career in Haaga-Helia University in Helsinki ja Tartu University as a
lecturer in strategic service management.
